Please see results and my comments below. Appreciate some advice, particularly on the vitamin levels. MT x

Inflammation

CRP HS 3.510 mg/L (Range: < 3) - no idea why this is raised

Iron Status

Ferritin 40.60 ug/L (Range: 30 - 169) - see separate test results for more detail on iron. However I'm a bit confused as the ferrratin result on the iron test was 29 even though they were taken at the same time?!

Vitamins

Folate - Serum 15.7 nmol/L (Range: > 7). - this has dropped from 30.5 at the end of March

Vitamin B12 - Active 43.7 pmol/L (Range: 37.5 - 188) - this has dropped from 73.9 at the end of March

Vitamin D 70.9 nmol/L (Range: 50 - 250) - this has dropped from 87.5 at the end of March

Vitamins have all dropped. Am I right in thinking your needs often do increase during pregnancy? Be glad of some advice please.

Thyroid Hormones

TSH 0.041 mIU/L (Range: 0.27 - 4.2)

Free T3 5.4 pmol/L (Range: 3.1 - 6.8) - dropped from 5.6 at the end of March

Free Thyroxine 17.5 pmol/L (Range: 12 - 22) - this has dropped from 19.5 at the end of March

I'm currently taking 150mcg thyroxine and 12.5mcg T3. Did increase thyroxine when found I was pregnant. Presume the T3 and T4 levels haven't dropped enough to change dose at this stage?)

Autoimmunity

Thyroglobulin Antibodies 28.60 kIU/L (Range: 0 - 115)

Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies 25.4 kIU/L (Range: 0 - 34)

These are both pretty stable and haven't changed in a while.

I have never been pregnant and hypo, but as you know the fetus relies on maternal thyroid hormones entirely through mid-gestation (ie, 20 weeks) until it develops the ability to make its own.

Generally literature and guidance is to increase Levo through mid-gestation to accommodate the increase needs of the fetus.

Based on what I’ve read (so consider it an informed opinion in context of everything else you know), you may want another increase to maintain at upper end of range.

There are some people on here with better links, and I have had a few but can’t find them right now… but I saw no one had replied so just weighing in!

Thanks v much for your reply, appreciate that x Wish I'd kept better records of what I did last pregnancy! I'm pretty sure I did increase again at some point later on but can't remember when!
