Vitamin D

Do I need to stop taking my B12, vitamin D , zinc and magnesium before testing ? thanks Gia

My vitamin B12 and Vitamin D and magnesium are looking as good as they are, because I've been supplementing. My previous vitamin D result was 52 back in February and I felt awful.

I'm also using the BetterYou Vitamin D spray now too just to add.

D Ferritin was low at 28 but I’ve ordered him some iron.

I have very low levels of vitamin d, high iron (219ng/mL) and was told to take double doses of vitamin d for a couple of months, then to slowly drop down to a normal dose. My TSH level is 4.93 and my free thyroxine is 14.2 (I have no idea what these levels mean).

I was started on 25 then 50 and then 75 and I just gave up on my gp and endo when they told me to stop supplementing vitamin D despite having a low level. Anyway my question is, how would I go about changing to 150mcg of Eutirox from 50mcg of Tiromel?

My Vitamin D went to as low as 19 early last year, of course previous GP didn’t bother looking into reason but just said was due to lack of sun!

D 97.6 range 50-250 Currently I am tired, constantly cold, have aching joints and generally feel a bit rubbish.

I only take 1000mg vitamin D and 100mcg of K2 my level of serum vitamin D has been around 130 mmol/L for a while. I’m one year into Zoladex after RT for Gleason 9 localised PCa with ‘apparently’ no sorrad on a PSMA a year ago just pre treatment.

I understand my vitamin D level is low and currently taking supplements CRP HS - 1.3 mg/l FERRITIN - 60 ug/L FOLATE SERUM - 8.8 ug/L VITAMIN B12 ACTIVE - 117 pmol/L VITAMIN D - 48 nmol/L TSH - 1.06 mlU/L FREE T3 - 4.9 pmol/L FREE THYROXINE - 13.5 pmol/l THYROGLOBULIN

Your 25-hydroxy vitamin D levels are 74 which is reassuring. This is normal and in this regard I will arrange a bone density scan to screen for osteoporosis.

I've been taking vitamin D since a low test late last year. In March it had gone up to 33.5 ng/mL but they didn't test this time. Vitamina B12 *608 pg/mL 116 - 513 ( I don't know why this range is so ridiculously low!)

She was advised to have some blood tests today: TSH: 2.38mIU/L (0.27 to 4.2) T3:1.6 nmol/L (1.3 to 3.1) ft3: 4.6 pmol/L (3.1 to 6.8) T4: 102 nmol/L (66 to 181) ft4: 18.6 pmol/L (11.9 to 21,6) Vitamin D: 71.5 Folic: 14.8 (8.8 to 60.8) B12: 456 (145 to569) The resuts seem pretty balanced

D: 103 (50 - 250) CRP: 0.24 (0 - 3)

D[/u] X 20.2 nmol/L Total 25(OH) vitamin D < 25 nmol/L is deficient.

I also added Vitamin D, B and an Omega 3 pill. I do have Osteoporosis. Looking for ways to stop the rise of my ALP? Anyone have ideas? Also, some other vitamins that are good for us with PBC!Anyone from Washington State, or Arizona? I live in both.

The only things not shown here are my vitamin D and K, which for some reason I keep on my bed stand and take immediately upon waking. Curious what supplements you take for your GCA/PMR and/or adrenal insufficiency.

I also take one glass of water with omega 3 suplaments before food and vitamin D after I eat breakfast. I don't eat pork or beef. I had pains after i ate smoaked fish and i stopped it. Smoaked fish is not good for me and canned fish too only fresh fish is good.
