He takes omega 3, B12,
vitamin
D
and magnesium supplements and it's difficult to know if they are helping or not. I wondered if any of you could advise which supplements have been helpful to you. Lions mane and ashwaganda have also been suggested and I wondered if anyone has tried these?

Many of us also take some supplements, e.g. especially
vitamin
D
and calcium for the threat of osteoporosis from ADT. (And the ADT itself is in my case a monthly injection.) The pharmacokinetics of the drugs above are slightly tolerant of imprecise dose timing.

My Platelets go down during the warmer months...
My searches on this subject led me to 2 possibilities, one having to do with
Vitamin
D
and the other possibility is that heat can cause lower platelets. I live in New Mexico and summers here are quite hot and getting hotter. The hematologists I've been to have nothing to add apart from "Huh.

Blood test results showed low
Vitamin
D
(now taking 1000 IU daily supplement). Calcium and Phosphate levels normal. Should I be taking a Calcium supplement? Also, any questions it would be useful to ask my GP. Apologies for long post!

Blood work and scans
AST - 42 ALT - 53 MCV - 99.3 Red cell folate - 255 Gamma GT - 100 Phosphate - 0.75 Ferritin - 643 25 OH Vitamin - 17 My GP didn’t really seen that concerned and prescribed me a
vitamin
D
injection and Folic acid. I would, however, like to follow up on this by getting a private scan.

bizarre turnaround
Since then I’ve lost 5lbs (diet and exercises) started taking
vitamin
b complex,
vitamin
d
and a general health
vitamin
to improve ferritin etc. Doctor did a full blood panel, everything normal, only tested TSH. (Now at 1).

CHRONIC INSOMNIA
I’m supplementing iron, folate,
vitamin
C,
vitamin
D
, b12 injections, selenium, zinc, just started B complex (first time in years). I use melatonin & magnesium glycinate at the elusive bed time. I should be mid to optimal in vitamin levels.
