I would welcome thoughts from the community on my latest blood tests please? I had these taken in August results via Medichecks.
I have Hashimotos and the bloods were taken first thing in the morning. Interestingly, my Thyroglobulin antibodies are slightly down from 362 in 2022 to 287 in 2024. Not sure if this means anything.
I am on 75 T4 and 20 T3 at the moment. I have had colon cancer (surgery and chemotherapy ) in the last year - so no idea if this is had an impact on my results. Many thanks in advance.

Thanks Buddy, its difficult to tell what is caused by what - but my energies are coming back so thats good. Thyroid-wise - I dont feel any worse (or better). My wound is still problematic and my CEA results are raised - so not so good. I have asked if there is a link between raised CEA and Hashimotos (no-one seems to know) but I have raised antibodies due to Hashi so I wouldnt be surprised if there is a link. I took my thyroid hormones all through chemo and oncologist was happy with that. All the best. x
Personally, I would look to improve Vit D as a first step. After this, you certainly have room to trial a slight increase in thyroid medication if you feel this might give your energy levels a boost. It’s best not to increase both Liothyronine and Levothyroxine at the same time. I like to go ‘low and slow’ when increasing- eg 12.5mcg Levo (alternate days at first) or adding 2.5mcg Lio daily. We always recommend retesting 6-8 weeks after making any changes.
I am sorry to hear about your operation. Just to help a little my mother had the same op years ago at the age of seventy four and lived to be 100 years old. I hope that you soon feel well.
