Is vision adversely affected by PD?
Does anyone feel that they have or had eye problems which were caused or influenced by PD? I am preparing for an appointment with my eye doctor who will seek solutions for my worsening eyesight. Eye problems include tented, wrinkled retinas in both eyes, double vision, left eye magnification,

Muscle Relaxer?
I have PD and am currently taking Azilect, Ropinerole, and Carbidopa/levidopa. I am very active, but lifted a heavy object yesterday and have painful muscle spasms in my lower back. Can I take a muscle relaxer - Carisoprodol - which is leftover from a spinal fusion I had before going on PD meds?

Hi, I was diagnosed 2001 under active thyroid, I was 51 years old and 7 stone, I had always been thin, since then I have progressively gained weight, I have never had a lot of interest in food so was surprised to see the weight pile on, (mainly around the middle) it is now 2017 and I am about 13 stone

Suddenely losing weight
I have been battling with my weight for 6 years or more and even thought Im on T3 Im still not losing. Is it possible that once you get to optimal levels (I think I may be there now) that you can start to lose weight and if this has happened, how easy is it. At the beginning of this year, after Christmas

I've seen MD's and Naturopathic physicians. For a while I thought I had an autoimmune "sticky blood" issue, but top LA rheumy

Bariatric surgery converted to Liver biopsie.
Hi I'm new here. I was booked in for bariatric surgery on Nov 16th 2016 at Kings College. During the operation the surgeon found cirrhosis of the liver. Weight loss and dose levels
I've lot a fair bit of weight in the last 3 months, and of course have also changed my diet from too much sugar to low carb/high fat. I felt heaps more energetic when I started the new way of eating, and slept really well. In the last weeks I started to feel a little jittering inside, and then started

Men B - my daughter's story
She did have partial
vision
loss
in both eyes, but now only in her left eye. She gets painful neck and spine and headaches. Her balance is bad and she gets dizzy, and she is sensitive to bright light now. Hopefully she will make a full recovery, but I think it will take a long time.

Night Blindness
Is anyone troubled by this? I haven't been able to drive in the dark for a few years now and it's a real pain. I seem to have a problem with Vit A/Beta Carotene as I have Carotenemia. I take a Vit A supplement a couple of times a week but it's no better. Anyone got any ideas please? Thanks :-)

What you might GAIN through weight LOSS!
My decision to lose weight came after I'd had the 40 something MOT with my GP and all had come back OK - apart from my being overweight. I had enjoyed excellent health up to then (apart from asthma) and instead of resting on my laurels, I thought "I need to keep it that way". I was born disabled as a
