Always finding an excuse
Good evening, or morning. My 1st post, a little nervous...... I’ve begun to realise, I can’t do this on my own and I’m running out of ways to help me stop. Been trying to quit for..... phew.... I hate to admit 8 years. I’ve had hypnotherapy, those nicorette sticks, gum, vape machines, etc etc. Cost

One of the most frightening scenarios with GCA
I'm wondering if anyone has experienced
vision
loss
, gotten the 1000 mg of IV prednisone I've read about , and willing to tell the tale?

'YOUR EARS': RESEARCH RESULT: 8TH CRANIAL NERVE INVOLVEMENT.
It has been reported in the past that cranial nerves may be affected by GCA - we are all familiar with the
loss
of
vision
that may be such a devastating feature of GCA when the optic nerve is affected but rarely do we think of the other functions that may be involved.

My life after my stroke
Having the
loss
of
vision
and balance really made me feel strange. I thought my working life was over because of the vision problems as I am an Engraver and Shoe Repairer by trade and I need the use of my eyes.

Losing weight, I’m new to all this
Anyone on here experience extreme weight loss, I am on 50 Lev and have spells where I lose a lot of weight. I am a slim person by nature anyway and don’t tend to gain weight with my under active thyroid, I go the other way and lose it. I wasn’t born with the condition, I contracted it after the birth

Been diagnose with (Bilateral) Vitroretinopathy and Vitreopathy (already have dry md)
I don't fully understand what it is, butd from what I've read it causes
vision
loss
and any invasive procedures are not normally successful and can cause
vision
loss
. I haven't had a retinal tear but have had pvds. I also have degenerative vitreopathy in one eye and have (bilateral) dry md.

Vision Therapy?
Was not able to work at all since I am a teacher and had no energy, short-term memory
loss
, balance problems and
vision
problems. Everything has been improved with lots of self-care and learning to be patient with myself.

Unexplained Chest Pains/Palpitations
I started having tachycardia 4 years ago. My heart rate would go up into the 170s. I've had several ECGs, blood work, CT Scan of the heart, stress test, holter monitor, Ziopatch and echo. Everything came back normal. I have been put on propranolol, metoprolol, and now Bisoprolol 2.5 mg once daily since

Hi everyone, hope you are enjoying the Bank Holiday, if in the UK?? Just interested to know, does anyone have a hernia and also thyroid condition? I went to the hospital on Friday for results from CT scan, to check for the "C" word predominately, so went in with one problem and came out with three

Metformin for insulin resistance
I have insulin resistance. I'm constantly hungry no matter what I eat. I'm overweight and on the pathway for bariatric surgery. To get the surgery I need to lose some weight mainly to demonstrate I'm committed. It's almost impossible to loose weight while feeling this hungry. I get shakey and struggle

Lumbar spinal stenosis with PSP?
My husband also was diagnosed with severe lumbar spinal stenosis and it was recommended he have spinal fusion. We are not going to do that at this point. Can't imagine adding that on top of everything else. The rehab would be nearly impossible. Someone else on this site (I can't find the post now) said
