How to get Tirosint?
Morning all! The reaction I'm having after taking after taking my levothyroxine tablets has become more overt and severe. I had stopped it for a while and reintroduced it and within 10 -15min of swallowing I have throat, lip and facial swelling with breathing problems. I have Teva for comparison

What's your experience of coming of steroids
So I have my rheumatology appointment next week so hopefully will get a better understanding of what's going on. In the meantime I am on mycophenalate and a weaning dose of prednisolone for eye inflammation, started with 800mg in December and am now on 2.5mg before stopping in 2 months time. However

Does anyone have a comment about taking a Lecithin supplement for a person with PD?
I have long taken a Lecithin capsule daily for memory enhancement as it is a precursor of acetylcholine. A recent article about PD stated "loss or drop in dopamine levels results in the accumulation of acetylcholine, a chemical messenger nerve cells use to signal muscles to contract, leading to the

hi there, last year I had a closed angle glaucoma. I had little warning, thr blood pressure in my right eye suddenly shot up to 80 and I was temporarily blind in that eye. I had a week’s stay in hospital and an operation to bring the pressure down. It is amazing that I have retained quite a bit of

Should I take aspirin 300 mgs at home if I think I may be having a stroke despite being on an anticoagulant for atrial fibrillation?
The chances of getting an NHS CT head scan quickly enough to decide whether it’s safe to give clot busting drugs aren’t so good at the moment. I think a cerebral embolus may still be more likely than a cerebral haemorrhage, so aspirin seems logical. Maybe I’ll ask my GP ….. I should say I’m not having

non cardiac chest pain?
I have been advised following treadmill, echocardiograms , CT scan and MRI stress test that my occasional ( at least monthly chest discomfort) is not a blood supply issue as only mild plaque build up ( I am 62 male). They did find an ascending aortic aneurysm that I am seeing a heart surgeon about and

glucose in urine
have done a urine dipstick test and it shows positive for glucose. I’m a bit worried and will ring gp but could this be a sign of liver disease and diabetes?

Hi everyone, I’ve taken note of discussions on here regarding gut issues vis a vis under active thyroid. Does levothyroxine of itself also cause gut issues? Many thanks.

Ovary discomfort a month after failed ET.
I’ve been experiencing some dull aches in my ovary over the last few days. Occasionally I get sharp pains in my ovary, although I have always had this now and again. It has been about a month since my ET which failed and I have had a bleed since. And I have already ovulated. I spoke to my clinic and

Food sensitivities
Hi everyone, just looking for a bit advice re food issues. I have had long term issues with constipation, which resolved when I went dairy free. I also find I feel much better on a gluten free diet so have been GF and DF for about 1 year. These are both very tricky to manage when eating out and I know
