IBS stomach issues
For years we have experienced stomach issues and pain while eating pretty much anything. We have tried the fodmap diet, and medications. We have now done a colonoscopy and are on prescription medication. We are very concerned that these meds are not helping after 3 months of taking them. Has anyone else

Bad Diarrhoea & Gas
I’m sorry if this post sounds quite rank, but I just wondered if anyone else is experiencing this. For the last 4 days I have been getting stomach cramps, and my stomach has been doing a lot of churning noises, which lead to really really bad gas and diarrhoea! It’s been 4 days in a row now, at night

Bowel Endo?
Saw GP last week and stool results came back with very raised Calprotectin (inflammation) and Blood in stools (FIT test). I’ve now been referred on the urgent 2-week ?cancer pathway, could also be IBD with results so now waiting on an urgent colonoscopy. Could this be bowel endo? Lots of overlapping

Colonoscopy/gastroscopy
Hello, me again! Or should I say “g’day”? I’ve just had my first ever hospital procedure with sedation - A colonoscopy and gastroscopy (top and tail) to check why I might not be absorbing B12 and iron. I’ve been terrified about it for so long and it was a complete non-event. The hospital staff were

Eat Real Food and Protect Your Microbiome
I don't have the answers, but the questions are worth looking at. My High School education tells me that PD might start in the gut. This makes sense to me. Therefore, gut inflammation is probably bad, and probably leads to intestinal permeability (leaky gut). And the gut bone is connected to the brain

Screening for Colorectal Cancer
There are several tests, some of which can be done at home.👏😃 Most people should begin screening for colorectal cancer soon after turning 45.🤔👍 You may need to be tested [u]

What to expect after stopping bisoprolol?
Hello. After a meet up with cardiologist, I was advised to stop the bisoprolol 1,25mg which I take daily. The reason I did a meet up is my daily anxiety, bradycardia (40s in rest) and dizziness. I need to continue with propafenone (anti arrhythmic) and currently waiting for an ablation date. My blood

How do I cope with a pain that no one believes is real?
I hope it is okay to post this here; I just feel totally consumed by my pain at the moment, and lost, as well as alone, in the journey of figuring it out. It all started 7 years ago, when I was 18- a nagging sharp pain started at the top of my abdomen, between my ribs, which lasted a few days. One morning

constipation after diverticular flare up
Last month I had 3 flare ups and everytime I had such severe diarrohea that I completely emptied my bowel. I now am constipated. I have been constipated my whole life, nothing helps, fibre included, and taking senna ends up with crippling pain. I have discovered Lactulose and find that this works
