Should my Thyroxine be put down?
Hello all, I've just had my latest results and my doctor has lowered my Thyroxine from 100mg to 75mg. Does that seem right? I feel very unwell and I'm putting on weight despite suffering from severe nausea, so I am definitely not over-eating. I'm 49-year-old woman who was diagnosed with an underachieve

HRT and magnesium supplements
Hi I’m new on here. I’m taking oestrogel 1-2 pumps in the morning, and one progesterone capsule at night. I’m increasingly frequently waking up in the night and I’m exhausted. Have tried other HRT types which made me feel mad and wild so I want to stick with this. Friends have recommended magnesium

hi all. So I’m lying here awake again so thought I’ll add a post. I’m on month 2 of zoladex with the 3rd injection happening in less than a couple of weeks. And I’m really not convinced by them! I don’t think I’m any better off! Ok so my deep pelvic pain and erratic bleeding has worn off, however it’

Knee Pain and trouble walking after four years
I had a knee replacement four years ago and although it was never great it was such an improvement I just went with it. The surgeon said there was not much left for him to work with after years of abuse !!! Four years on though and I am having more and more issues. I cannot walk up and down stairs

Questions regarding an oestrogen cream (Ovestin) and its effect specifically on hypothyroidism but also in general
This morning I visited my GP for an abdominal examination because of raised liver enzymes. As our conversation progressed and I mentioned other niggles she offered a blood test there and then for rheumatoid arthritis, organised a pelvic ultrasound for tomorrow (I know, amazing!), a stool sample and a

Is there a dr at Ninewells who deals with APS?
In Dec 2020 I had what was thought to be a TIA. I mentioned to the stroke nurse that I had tested positive before for lupus anticoagulant and my rheumatologist at the time put me on aspirin. I was told to stop HRT in order to do this. It wasn’t checked again. The stroke nurse prescribed Clopidogrel

Am I Hypothyroid?
Hi, can anyone give me any feedback on the blood results I have received please? I am nearly 5 years into Surgical Menopause, Ovaries removed. More than likely I have Oestrogen Dominance which could be suppressing thyroid function as my Prolactin is currently very high (975miu/l) and soon to be investigated

Sub optimal cortisol results, below range DHEA and phone appointment with GP this morning
Good morning, I posted yesterday about Regenerus test results (link below) and seveneleven kindly responded. I’ve managed to secure a GP phone appointment this morning because I’m wracked with pain and inflammation and would like to arrange further tests for this (possible rheumatoid arthritis).

Recovery after partial Knee Replacement
Firstly thank you to everyone who took the time to reply to my last post regarding post op fatigue. That does indeed seem to have passed. However, I am still struggling with trying to gauge how much pain relief I should be using and progress with exercises. It would be really useful to hear from anyone
