Currently I have quite bad menopausal symptoms. Does anyone take HRT and has it worsened endometriosis?

HRT for menopausal symptoms but I have endometriosis
For me it’s all about getting the right balance I started on 25mg patches and tried the 50mg. I was then recommended the gel by a doctor and find that better. Most people take two pumps but I generally only take one and find it suits me better on my arms not the thighs. I know if I’ve taken too much and start to get twinges of my endo flaring I just lay off for a couple of days.
I think it's so hard because mentally my body craves estrogen and I greatly improved on it. I stopped crying, the brain fog lifted and I just felt like me again. Physically my body is not so keen. I have endometriosis and fibroids and I can't have a hysterectomy because my cervix is fused to my womb with endo. I know estrogen is feeding the fobroids and now I'm on daily provera to protect my womb and try to shrink the fibroids and endo. It all depends on how your body reacts to the HRT and about balance. If I could go back I'd probably try everything before going on HRT. I have weekly acupuncture now and take chinese medicine which seems amazing so far. I'd change my diet more. I don't drink alcohol and I know that helps me. I'd take melatonin and other supplements earlier and I'd exercise A LOT! HRT is not for everyone but we are in the midst of a social trend where everyone sees it as the silver bullet and it CAN really help. I am so much better on estrogen. However the physical side effects for some are difficult and not really talked about as much. It worries me that women on forums (not this one) are encouraging women to "up their dosage" of estrogen when we all respond very very differently. So, sorry if I've gone off topic but I'm in the midst if this at the moment (sat here with my kefir, flaxseed and host of supplements). Do your research, talk to your doctor and think about what you know works for you and your endometriosis. Good luck x
