HRT and magnesium supplements

Hi I’m new on here.

I’m taking oestrogel 1-2 pumps in the morning, and one progesterone capsule at night. I’m increasingly frequently waking up in the night and I’m exhausted. Have tried other HRT types which made me feel mad and wild so I want to stick with this.

Friends have recommended magnesium glycinate (?) to help with sleeping.

does anyone know if that’s safe to take with my HRT?

Thanks for any help 😊

I am on the same HRT as you but I use my Utrogestan vaginally (which Dr Louise Newson says is as effective. It doesn’t metabolise through the liver so you don’t get as many side effects). I introduced magnesium a month ago as I’d read good reviews and have had no adverse affects.

I don’t see any reason why not. I’m about to get some myself too.

Hiya, I have been on the same HRT since July and have been taking 1 magnesium capsule at night with my progesterone tablet and I have been having the best sleep I have ever had as an adult. I hope you find it helps!
