Multi Ablations?
Hello all, Big cardio surgery history, last one 25 years ago, still here thanks to surgeons who were willing to take risks where others weren't! Developed AFib 5 years ago. Had a cryo, success for 2 years then a redo RF, success for 18 months but also had more cardio versions that you can shake a stick

How long were your symptoms relieved after surgery?
Hello š, I had my laparoscopy just over a month ago. They removed adhesions from left ovary and bowel. I feel like the symptoms I had before are ramping back up again but I donāt know if itās all in my head or if itās because Iām still healing from the op. Iām waiting for my follow up appointment

Hello everyone, I was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer a couple days before last Christmas so I am early in my journey and feeling very scared and discouraged. Since my tumor is too large, I canāt have surgery yet. I had my first taxol/carboplatin treatment last week. I had an allergic reaction

DBS. Did it improve your life as much as you hoped?
Well I feel the DBS conveyor belt moving again, bringing me closer to the surgery date. I have an appointment with Professor Silverdale in a couple of weeks and I have questions to ask. Can anyone reading this who has had the surgery give me their honest thoughts as to whether the DBS surgery has improved

Methotrexate
Hi, I have been on Prednisolone for the past two years for PMR and after various flares, ups and downs, am currently tapering and am at 9.5 mg daily, decreasing 0.5 mg every two weeks. At a routine drug review at the surgery this week the pharmacist said she was surprised I had not been put on Methotrexate

Varicocele surgery or continue with IVF?
My partner (32M) and I (32F) are supposed to be starting IVF in 4 weeks. We're in the UK and this will be our only NHS funded round, after this we'd have to self-fund. However, this morning he was told he has a grade 2 bilateral varicocele. This is really frustrating because this is the second test

Getting my life back
I wrote awhile ago that I was scheduled for a Wolf Mini-maze procedure at the DeBakey Houston Heart Center. I suffered through a year of blood thinners first. I am now 3 weeks out since my surgery. Dr Wolf did his magic on my heart and put in an LAA Atriclip so I am now free from blood thinners and
