I'm currently on sertide and being switched over to symbicort. I'm not sure of the dosage etc as need to discuss further with gp. I'm a little concerned as been on seretide for years. When I get switched it triggers flares and I've already had loads of time of work. I work part time. I also think I'm

I was told a week ago to stop all my medication due to a chest infection and WBC being too low. I've been off my hydroxychloroquine and methotrexate for over a week now and weirdly my joints and swelling has been the best it's been for over 2 years. I feel perplexed has a 2 year flare just finished

Biological therapy.
I have been reading through all the posts on biological therapy.I have literally this week just heard that I qualify for Tezspire. The wait time is about 4 weeks. I am wondering who else is having this / had it and how they are getting on . Thank you.

Greater use of Benlysta, Saphnelo seen in US, EU to treat lupus
Goal to reduce long-term glucocorticoids use to prevent side effects
In both the U.S. and Europe, clinicians want to limit treatment with glucocorticoids — steroid hormones whose long-term use for autoimmune diseases is tied to serious side effects — among people with moderate to severe lupus

Surgery Cancelled .. because I look to fit and well!
I had to post this due to how utterly ridiculous my day was yesterday. After 2 years of scans and appointments and 6 months of prostap. My doctor cancelled my surgery to remove endo and adhesions and also confirm the 6cm growth on my uterus is not suspicious because .. I quote .. you look fit and well

hospital bag
I know this has probably been done to death but what are people’s go tos for their hospital bag when they go in for surgery? I have surgery on the 13th and have been told I will be staying in for 3-5 days so just trying to plan and pack. I wondered what everyone else took with them or what they wished

What Now?
I have been out of the hospital for about 3 days after VAT surgery. I am taking a medication and I feel nausea all the time, and even the thought of food makes me want to vomit. Is this normal? I am taking paracitomol, ibuprofin, dicloxacillin and another medication for the cough. I dont feel too

Recurring symptoms, bit panicky
I've already posted once when I was first diagnosed with GCA and got loads of good advice, info, reassurance. So grateful. The problem now is that after 12 days on Prednisolone 50mg the headaches started to come back and jaw pain. I wrote in my previous post that an on call doctor came out on the Saturday

Came of Bisoprolol low doseage 6 weeks ago had a 24 hr heart monitor test while on it , came off it because it was causing to much problems ( low pressure) test said it noticed things but nothing has really changed since 2018 when first diagnosed with At Fib. This week kept feeling strange sensations

Update on Trelegy v Fostair
A few weeks ago I had a bad fall and required a CT scan of my chest. It picked up a few things that are being followed up and one of them required me to attend an appointment with my Resp Consultant at 9.00 am this morning! I hoped he would also have time to discuss the issue I've had re the asthma

Between treatment pain
this is a bit of a long one (sorry in advance) I was diagnosed last year through private care that I got with my work at the time. I was told that I was at high risk of ending up with a colostomy bag if I went for surgery, so they pushed for ‘medical management’. My first gynae had already put me on

radiation treatments led to perforated colon?
St. Patrick’s Day I collapsed in pain and was rushed to ER. A CT ABD PE revealed a perforated colon near my rectum, broad internal infection (sepsis) with kidneys and liver shutting down. A life flight, three surgeries later, 3 weeks sedated and immobile in an ICU, and seven weeks in hospital rehabs

Shoes wider ?
Like my hands, my toes are now badly deformed and I'm struggling to get even wide shoes on. Can anyone advise where to get nice looking shoes for arthritis feet ? I really don't want surgery if I can avoid it.
