Pcsk9
I have chronic renal failure stage 3 , have had aerotic valve surgery, also fairly high ldl cholesterol, prediabetes because of simvastatin, nhs will not authorize pcsk9 inhibitors for me , it seems that the nhs would prefer you to become diabetic than give better drugs without side effects

Today I saw a neurologist for the first time , sadly not impressed and I am frustrated . I have already posted about my bad experience and lack of care from my Gp surgery, the same from my new surgery. I realised that my right hip was not working as it should, couldn't lift it off the bed or get it into

so lost š
Does any one here ever feel like their losing the mind? I feel so lonely but at the same time canāt bring myself to meet with people, I donāt even know why this is, I feel so sad and frustrated at the constant symptoms yet I canāt even cry to feel a release. I will be having surgery no 3 soon in a BSGE

Constant uncomfortable feeling
I'm hoping anyone out there can reach out. I was diagnosed with endometriosis 10 years ago and had 3 laparoscopies with the last one removing my left ovary and tube over 3 years ago. For the past month or so the pain is gradually getting worse. I'm worried that this will be the norm as its feels too

Ribs aching
Hi Can anyone offer me any reassurance please? I had a heart stress test 6 weeks ago. The consultant hasnāt contacted me but he wrote to my surgery asking them to adjust my Isosorbide level. Using the FOI act I obtained a copy of the letter. It says that there is a āsubtle inducable ischemia in the

Hi just wanting some advice. Im on a waiting list for surgery, already been waiting 5 years. The newest symptom for me is extreme pain during bowel movement normally two days before period, its like passing sharp glass with a sharp stabbing pain going down my GI tract I think. My recent scans all came

Initial diagnosis Ataxia but then a Brain Tumour
Hi all. Some of you may remember I was intially diagnosed with Ataxia in October 2021 and found this lovely community. Once I had my MRI I was diagnosed with a Meningioma Brain Tumour which was causing my Ataxic Gait. I was going to leave this group as it felt wrong as that is not what I have. Some

Trying to contact a GP
Well Iāve just tried to contact my surgery this morning. The online contact told me no more spaces available until tomorrow to even lodge my symptoms for someone to read. This was at 8:30am. I tried phoning the surgery, no luck there. A recorded message saying no more phone calls being taken! So Iāve

PD and orthopedic surgeries
Iām debating having a partial knee replacement (for patella femoral arthritis) AND/OR Mortonās neuroma surgery. I really need both, but am very concerned about not being able to exercise, the way I usually do, for at least a few months. Would it be wise to schedule both surgeries just a couple of

Swollen ankles after periodontal surgery
Had some minor gum & bone surgery to prepare tooth for a crown & subsequently have swollen ankles, making it difficult to walk. Asked the periodontal surgeon if inflammation from procedure is causing RA ankle swelling/flare & he says, "Coincidental". Rheum says any injury, infection, stress

Proud of my little pink line showing T3 prescribed by NHS š
I've put my surgery on the T3 prescribing graph š and hopefully started a learning curve for them!! They have 3 surgeries which cover a 15 mile radius and 10,000 patients... yet I'm the only one that needs T3??? Really!! This little line denotes 28 items this year about to become 34 as I request my

Well I have had a very bust couple weeks. Helped out at work in the cold and Xmas on the way and to top it my daughter in law was rushed into emergency surgery. So food has been the last thing to worry about. Hospital food isn't that healthy surprisingly. You would think that they would have some access

Tubular Adenomas
Hi. I wasn't sure if I should start a new post for this, or just add to my post in Oct/Nov, so I decided to do both. I hope that's okay. I had my colonoscopy two weeks ago. Results were: - internal hemorrhoids - diverticuli - polyps (I don't know size and how many until I see my dr next week
