Anxiety suffering
Hello all. I think this forum probably helps many people. You all deserve love and respect. I have suffered from anxiety and depression for probably 30 years. I was on Effexor for about 10 years with my anxiety somewhat under control. I tried to wean myself off the Effexor a few months ago and now

Erythromelalgia..........anyone else?
Hi, fellow fibro warriors. On top of the fibro, malignant hypertension and possibly PoTS, I've recently been diagnosed with erythromelalgia. I'd never even heard of it! It's a horrible condition, I'm dreading the summer. A couple of hours in the March sun turned me into a beetroot. Hands and feet

Any advice on recurring UTIs?
Due to nerve damage/

, I have been doing intermittent self catheterisation for years (although perhaps not as diligently as I should have been) However, things have been getting worse for a while now and I have better at keeping on top of things.

What is the point of life if you are unable to experience joy?
I have experienced depression and anxiety for the majority of my life and recently added an ADHD diagnosis which may have been missed all these years. I have been on every kind of medication you can imagine, some with severe side effects, seen a counsellor on a regular basis, seen a psychiatrist on

Introduction of Jason Neuhoff
Hello everyone! My name is Jason, I'm from South Africa and am 20 years old. I am diagnosed with MDD, and have anxiety disorder. I also have functional asperger's syndrome and ADHD, but tend to put that to good use! I'm very happy to be part of a charitable community that deals with mental illnesses

The soymilk diet: A previously unknown etiology of acute pancreatitis
In an era of dairy-avoidance, and a plethora of non-dairy substitutes, consumption of soy-based products is widespread. For anyone considering, or on, a diet including significant quantities of soymilk, this paper might be of relevance. Although not strictly thyroid-related, it is the milk substitute

First shot of zoladex, got more questions
Good day to all, my father just had a laser turp procedure this monday, then yesterday he had a shot of zoladex, wondering how early might side effects come out? Another concern we have is this; we saw on youtube that the needle is supposed to snap back when the drug is applied properly, unfortunately

Urodynamics
I'm writing on behalf of my husband. Has anyone had experience of a Urodynamic and did the results give the consultant a clear next plan of action? He gets up to pee 3 or 4 times a night and sometimes in the evening and gets pressure in the bladder. Initially a TURP or green light laser op was recommended

Bladder neck contracture
I have a bladder neck contracture that makes urinating difficult I was able to insert catheters with difficulty so I was not terribly concerned about being very far from competent medical care. It is a 4 hour drive to a hospital with a urologist on call and my local very good primary care doctor told

MBCT - Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (self help workbook)
Has anyone tried "The Mindful Way Workbook"? It is an 8-week self led program that goes along with "The Mindful Way through Depression" book. This book is based on Jon Kabat-Zinn's MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction). MBCT is basically a way to use meditation (non-religious) to help with depression
