So I had hysterectomy (open surgery) at the very end of July this year so I'm 16 weeks post op.... Since my operation I had times of urinary retention which seems to have resolved but also around 6uti more recently iv had noticeable blood in the urine and severe back pain on the left side this has been around 6weeks now I have a renal ultrasound booked for 7th December my GP said this may well be a stone. Been up most of night with back pain and very noticeable blood in urine this morning!! This is driving me mad! Anyone else know if this.....

Good to know your about 🙂, had been a bit worried.Sorry your still going through issues. Have they given you antibiotics to try just in case something is hiding?

Has GP suggested a referral to urologist, or waiting for scan?

I had op this week, adhesions everywhere, he had a little bit of trouble getting it all out, so only just started recovery.

HiI was going to have open, although over the phone initially it was lap and robotic. I saw him face to face, paid for, and after examination said too small and open. On the morning I asked if he could deal with the Lichen Sclerosus he diagnosed at the time with a biopsy and sorting those adhesions whilst under. Then said can he do a vaginal stretch and he’d do it lap, told him I didn’t care as I’d be asleep. He was really pleased about that. It started off complicated as some of the fibroids had embedded themselves and lost around a litre of blood. Adhesions all over the place, and rectovaginal endo, said it finished well though. 😂 I think I was lucky to have had the right surgeon.

Did they do a scan last night? Has to be scary though, you’ve had a really tough time with this. I’ve got some blood but nothing much. I hope the antibiotics help, if you didn’t have a scan maybe your GP can bring forward yours or there is a cancellation. How are you coping with your kids? Has to be hard.

Via laparoscopy in the end. It went from lap to open, back to lap. To do that he had to open up down below. How are you today?

That’s great, proactive 👍😀As long as I don’t do much. 😂 pulled a pair of jeans out of the washing machine and forgot they were probably too heavy. Not mine though, can’t see me wearing jeans for a while 😫

Let us know how the scan goes.

He changed his mind when I asked if he could test to confirm the Lichen Sclerosus and cut those adhesions, he said he could and stretch the area and do lap. I think he may have wished open getting fibroids unattached from other things, but didn’t change it. Do you know when scan is? Feeling a bit better today?
