Fet ultrasounds and checkup?

Hi ladies I've started my period abd alerted my clinic to prep for my last transfer that is a 3 day blast.

I started estradiol 2/day (6mg) and am also doing an immune protocol with 10mg prednisone and 150mg baby aspirin.

They advised me to come in for an ultrasound at cd14 to check lining but that seems late...especially bc my cycles have been shorter lately. Should I be going in earlier? Also shouldn't I be on progesterone??

Advise please 🙏

hey there. I think I’m just a few days ahead of you. So the oestrogen starts on day 2 or 3 (or mine started on day 4 this time as the lining wasn’t thin enough when I had my scan on day 2). You then start the oestrogen and this is what helps your lining to thicken. As far as I know, it doesn’t really matter how long you’re on the oestrogen for, just as long as your lining is more than 8cm (according to my clinic…and my googling) and then you start the progesterone 5 days before the transfer. In theory it’s replicating what would happen naturally in your body after an egg was released. For reassurance, last time my scan was on day 13/14, started the progesterone a couple of days after that, with transfer on day 20/ 21, that cycle gave us a gorgeous boy!

The oestrogen makes sure follicles don’t develop, so don’t worry about your shorter cycles (I asked this at my scan the other day)

That's reassuring and thanks for sharing about your previous transfer, congratulations! Any other tips you'd share about your transfer?

It sounds like you're doing another transfer? If so, baby dust to you ❤️

Not that I can remember. There was something about pineapple - if I remember, it was getting a pineapple, taking the skin off and slicing it horizontally into 5 pieces and having 1 piece each day on the 5 days before transfer. I haven’t been that specific about it this time, but I’ve just tried to eat some every day since weds (which was when I started my progesterone). Vitamin D and folic acid? I also did acupuncture the morning of transfer last time. I’m also going to look into this for this time too!

baby dust to you too!!
