Aloe vera
Hi all, I was diagnosed with fibro in January, was put on medication where I suffered lots of side effects. I'm a working single parent and found it really difficult at times to cope. Then a friend of mine suggested I try drinking aloe Vera gels, I have been drinking the gel for nearly 12 weeks and all

Sickness ...
Hello all. I was diagnosed with good pastures syndrome in March this year. It has left me with chronic renal failure. I started haemodialysis and recently changed to peritoneal dialysis. I feel sick most if the time but it seems to get worse in the evenings. Has anyone else found this? If so what did

Cold sores
Woke up yesterday with cold sores all over my mouth today they have covered my mouth completely and are huge and very sore I'm using cream for them but my teeth also hurt and especially under the plate of my false one (due to teeth falling out). How does everyone cope with these outbreaks. I think

Believe it, or not!
It is now over a year since I had a kidney transplant. I have just been referred back to Ipswich Hospital, for all things relating to the actual transplant. I am however, for the present anyway, remaining under Addenbrooke's Hospital for vasculitis. The new doctor that I'm under , DR Ande (Andy) IS

Calcichew
I have been taking calcichew for several years and have had no problems with them [ I take one a day ] I had a bone scan recently which revealed my bone density had improved since my last one 2 years ago, so no treatment required, however I continued to take them. My question is can too much calcium

Aloe Vera advice!
Hey - just wanted to ask advice. A couple of people on here have advised using aloe Vera for digestive issues, and I wanted to try but I'm Not sure which one would be best for me? I tend to get bloated, trapped wind and a bit constipated too so would be great to hear which one would work best for me

Sensitive teeth on Pred?
Does anyone else suffer from sensitive teeth?? My teeth have become very sensitive to hot and cold - especially cold. I can't eat anything straight from the fridge, icy drinks are a nightmare and I can't cope with the cold water they squirt on your teeth at the dentist... I'm sure this problem started

Who do you talk to when you feel very down?
I feel like I haven't been allowed to be honest to anyone about how very down I feel. Being ambivolent about accepting renal replacement therapy has led to wild accusations from doctors - that I am begging for money, manipulative. They don't seem to get it - some of us have been so bullied by bad partners

Oral Thrush Advice Pls
Looking for some advice - I take a brown inhaler daily. Recently I took a break, as I'm well and having a gap from my usual exercise routine (which seems to be a trigger for me), because I keep getting bouts of oral thrush. Started taking my brown inhaler again yesterday as I felt things were going backwards

IN CASE THIS OF INTEREST TO ANYONE............
I think we all agree that sooner (hopefully) or later, 'targeted treatment' will be the norm......so with that in mind i thought i would copy over the following in case it was of interest. Laurence. First Biomarker Test That May Predict Response to Therapy in Ovarian Cancer Conference Report |

Renal Transplant Optimisation Trial - Positive T-Antibody
Hi - just thought I'd share this, I wrote it to explain to a relative what was happening. I know it is more about my transplant than the APS, but someone might have some thoughts so I thought it might be worth sharing.... Tx I guess it started a few weeks back; my relationship was on the rocks,
