The PSP-CBD Ice Cream Challenge 2022 Day 8
Oak Island -The Smith's Cove Excavation Seems appropriate for the finale of season 9 today. Acorns (fans of the show) will get this. BTW, the lettering is made from milk chocolate... I used a mold. The first letter 'T' represents the lead cross found on the shoreline. I made the cofferdam with graham

Flecainide
I see in these posts that a lot of you advise taking Flecainide an hour before meals. Why? The advice by the drug company and my doctor is to take it before, during or after meals. I have been taking it in the middle of my breakfast, should I change? Do I take Xarelto and Bisoprolol at the same time

Pneumonia update
Hello, all, as some of you may know, I was hospitalized with pneumonia 2 months ago. A ct scan was performed on my lungs the report stated that I may have pulmonary fibrosis. There are also some other concerns mentioned in the CAT scan so I went to see a pulmonologist the other day to get a second opinion

Actemra injection skin reaction
A couple of weeks ago I asked if anyone had the skin reaction to weekly Actemra injections because I was getting a large itchy red rash right across my thigh that lasted about 4 days. Its a very common reaction apparently. I was advised to take an antihistamine (Loratadine) but wasn't happy with that

My brother told me a nurse has just diagnosed AF!
My email to him follows, thought it might help others in a similar position: 'From the beginning use it as a driver to improve overall health to avoid future issues. Good news that you are now aware of it, also that it does not stop you doing things (like it did me) Lifestyle changes will be very important

No MRI results/still have bowel symptoms
Hi Everyone, I had an MRI to rule out deep endo on my bowels as I have bowel symptoms similar to IBS along with my endo symptoms. The gynae consultant said they would get in touch if they saw anything that required a multi-disciplinary team and I never heard anything about my results? I've come to

Any link between under active thyroid and Pulmonary Embolism ?
Hi, Does anyone know if there is a link between under active thyroid and a Pulmonary Embolism and what that link would be ? I have found some information . If anyone can’t point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. Just a wee bit of background I had a bilateral PE in March and now

For worriers about anti-coagulants
From Practice Update today I've read this "In this retrospective observational study of 18,813 patients with atrial fibrillation (AF), the incidence of dementia was significantly lower among oral anticoagulant (OAC) users (HR, 0.59) compared with nonusers. In addition, direct-acting OAC (DOAC) use was

Home dialysis question
Has anyone had experience with both home hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis? If so, what were the pros and cons for each.

Niacin. Your thoughts?
I didn't find any hard evidence. Part of niacin converts into NAD+. I don't think that would be good. And the proven HDL increase doesn't seem to make much difference in actual cardiac risk (perhaps HDL is a marker and artificially changing it doesn't affect the root contributors to cardiac risk?).

Hi, I have ET which was diagnosed after a blood clot was found on my brain and blood tests revealed I had a positive JAK 2 result in 2019, I do not know anyone else who has the condition to talk with, when I see my haematologist i don’t always get the time to speak freely about my concerns, I read that

Tapering, back-update etc.
I have two pieces is that I've continued tapering and am down to 9 mg per day with no serious issues other than floor scraping exhaustion...I've got sleeping mastered. I've been under added stress also. On May 5, I will have a nerve ablation in my back, and from the diagnostic procedures I've already

Flashbacks and anxiety
How do you handle flashbacks? After being in the hospital in a diabetic coma, kidneys failing, pneumonia and more I have flashbacks of being in the hospital and coming slowly out of a coma. Also, I have flashbacks from being in rehab. I feel like I am in the hospital again when I am in my kitchen

Hi there everyone, I’ve been living with ET for 2 years now & am currently on 500g daily dose hydroxycarbamide , 2.5g lisinopril for slightly high blood pressure & 75mg aspirin. My GP wants to put me on statins now for high cholesterol ( 8.4) & I just wondered if there are any risks associated with this
