OHSS, how long after egg collection?
Hi, First round of IVF and had eggs collected yesterday. I have all the risk factors for OHSS, but we are mitigating as much as possible (gnrh agonist trigger, freezing eggs, Cabergoline, clexane and gnrh antagonist for the next few days). For those who have had OHSS, how long after the collection did

Local anesthesia or full anesthesia for egg retrieval?
Hello hello, I hope you are all well. I am very new in the IVF world, we will probably have an IVF this summer and I wonder if we can choose to have a local anesthesia instead of a full anesthesia for the egg retrieval ? We are at the UCLH if anyone experienced a IVF there. Thank you all and best

Advice/support much needed!! 2nd round of icsi
Looking for words of encouragement or support as I’m getting ready for my second round and feeling really anxious and negative. My background: Had first ICSI cycle in Feb. Only got 3 eggs, 1 wasn’t mature, 1 was fertilised but didn’t make it, 1 made it to a low grade blast and was transferred on day

After Transfer Advice!
I am due my 3rd transfer next Tuesday after the first two have failed, all since November. And I need some advice! My sister in law is running the London Marathon on the Sunday, so 4 dpt. Should I cancel going up there to support her and watch? It’s something she’s only going to do once - but obviously

IVF Abroad - OTD UK
Hi All, looking for some advice. I had a frozen transfer last week (our last one) abroad and the clinic advised to test this Friday coming (12th). Given all the expenses and work, I couldn't stay abroad any longer so I am now in the UK and I am trying to figure out my options about testing on Friday

16 follicles but only 3 now growing?
Hi all - long time loiterer, first round IVF-er. I am in the stims stage of our first ever IVF round and slowly baking some follicles over here for first collection for PGTA. I know there are huge drop-offs at each stage - and super unlikely to get great numbers when I'm 42, however......at my baseline

IVF and loneliness
Hi there, I’m 37 and have been TTC for 2 years. My husband and I have recently been referred for IVF and our cycle is due to start this month. I’m already finding the process very emotionally draining and stressful. One of my biggest struggles is the feeling of loneliness and that no one around me

Hello, I'm experiencing severe PMS today which means I'm overthinking everything and negative thoughts are just going round and round after a confirmed negative test on Friday (my 3rd and last FET of this cycle). We recently discovered my partner's DNA fragmentation is sitting at 30% and I have a few

ivf medication costs ..
Hi, I’ve just paid for my stimulation medication, with the same company I’ve ajways got them from but through a different clinic. I just got Fostimon …it was £316 a box of 10 in November. But I just paid £500 a box of 10. Was a bit of a shock , everything was over 40% more which seems crazy. Got

Hi everyone I am writing now because I am just panicking. I had my stage4 endometriosis removed in march 2023 and was placed on zoladex for 6 months after. Completed my zoladex and went for IVF. We tested positive last week with 2 embryo transfer and this is our 3rd week in the pregnancy. I

Can IVF meds affect AMH / FSH levels
Wondering if anyone can help. I had my first failed round of IVF last month and am planning to move straight on to a second round later this month. I decided to do a Hertility postal blood test to check where my hormone levels were. I was really shocked as my AMH had more than halved since August and

Managing OHSS risk
I'm on my first IVF cycle and due for egg collection on Monday. We always knew I was high risk for OHSS as I have PCOS, and had an AMH of 205 initially, (which has reduced to 45 on Metformin), so were always planning to freeze the eggs from this cycle. My estrogen at day 5 of stims was around 3500 and

Antibiotics before an egg collection
Hi there, I've been to the doctors for a lump and they have prescribed antibiotics. I'm worried that my ivf clinic will cancel my egg collection if I've got an infection. The medication is only a 7 day course so it should clear up a week before I'm even due to start the egg stimulation. Anyone had

Looking for IVF experienced Endocrinologist
Hi lovely people, After my 6th unsuccessful transfer and 3rd with donor embryos, I have decided to include an endocrinologist who can help maintain Thyroid levels before and during transfer. In the last cycle despite increasing the dose of Levothyroxine, my TSH jumped from 2.4 to 3.4 on day of transfer
