FET, 32, unexplained

I’ve been taking Progynova for around 12 days - at first I noticed a huge amount of discharge slowly it has disappeared and I’m worried the Progynova has stopped working or, I’ve ovulated naturally? Can anyone advise of a similar experience? I’ve got a scan Thursday but it feels like forever and a day until I can find out what is going on!

I always notice a fluctuation in all symptoms across each cycle. Nothing is ever definitive!

Are you on another med or injection to stop ovulation? Could be buserelin, cetrotide, fyremadel or synarel?

And are you doing a medicated FET or natural?

I’m doing a medicated cycle but nothing to prevent ovulation, my clinic seem to think a high dose of Progynova will inhibit ovulation but it feels suspicious that the symptoms I had (which did enhance my normal cycle CM etc) - have now stopped - and I wonder whether the Progynova enhanced my estrogen but is now falling in line with natural ovulation?

Its all so confusing.

My last medicated FET got me to 7.3 but the consultant kept me on the medication for another week to see if we could get to over 8, by the time I went back a week later, it had dropped and they cancelled the cycle! I was very poorly so I put it down to this - but now I’m worried I just don’t respond for a long period of time to the Progynova?

Hi, I could have misunderstood as it is all so complicated, but I thought the progynova stopped you preparing a lead follicle and therefore ovulating, while stimulating your lining. As far as I am aware at my 12 day scan with progynova they are looking for 'quiet' ovaries meaning no lead follicle and a plump lining. So I wouldn't be worried at all. I certainly haven't been looking for signs of ovulation (and dont recall any) during my FETs with progynova and haven't had any issues with linings. Good luck x

that’s good to know! I guess I was worried that my follicles continued to develop despite Progynova because I was experiencing lots of discharge which suddenly stopped? Perhaps I’m overthinking it all but it’s such a whirlwind! Praying it looks good. Thank you again x

Hopefully the lack of discharge is a sign it is all going as it should. I genuinely thought progynova 'turned off' your ovaries and prevented lead follicle growth so maybe that is what is happening and explains your change. Best of luck. As someone else has said, they can up the progynova as a quick burst to help if needed 🙂 x

Thank you! I went for a private scan and they said ovaries look quiet which is reassuring - lining still 5.2 ish but I have 5 days of Progynova until my scan so hoping it grows a few mm by then! Thanks again for your advice 😊

I am very similar to you, although I was under the impression the progynova stopped you ovulation naturally? I have my lining scan tomorrow so will ask.

Last cycle it wasn’t thick enough, upped the dose for 3 days and then was okay so I’m preparing myself for this to happen again x

Yes I think it’s supposed to! I was just worried as I got a lot of discharge then seem to have minimal all of a sudden but no change to dose or change of meds? Hoping in the next few days my lining plumps up! Thank you x
