Melatonin, unsure of ivf clinics advice… help?!
after waiting weeks for my fertility clinic to answer my queries regarding taking -melatonin - DHEA -metformin - ubiquinol prior to my next fresh ivf cycle in 3 months, I’ve finally had a response today. They won’t prescribe metformin as I don’t have PCOS (fair enough.) They said given my

Time off work for IVF?
Hi, We've just got our dates for our first cycle of IVF. We'll be freezing the eggs after collection due to PCOS. My work are very supportive and flexible, so will accommodate me going to the appointments and working when I can, but my question is would it be better to book the whole couple of weeks

Sex before IVF
Hi everyone, I'm booked in for IVF with egg collection planned for the end of March. This will be my first IVF cycle, been TTC coming up to 4 years in August. I've never been pregnant/never had a positive test. We have a details appointment next week so I called my clinic asking about the appointment

PGT testing or not
Hi everyone, I have failed in 3 ivf cycles. Last one I had 4 eggs retrieved, 3 fertilised and only 1 made it to blastocyst and we sent it to PGT testing. It came out 100% aneploid. Now, I have started another cycle and NY doctor suggested to continue without PGT testing. Doctor said that we don't have

11dp3dt - positive - but now clinic say OTD should be 14dp3dt - a little panicked!
Hello fellow warriors, Took our test this morning and we can’t quite believe it - we have seen our first ever positive at 11dp3dt. (TTC 3+, 3rd round of IVF, low fertilisation rates, no blasts.) I emailed the clinic to confirm and book in the viability scan only to be informed that OTD should actually

Fresh Transfer - A week ago today. Today is hard. Two week wait.
Today is hard. It's so hard not knowing and symptom spotting all the way. I don't feel able to make plans for anything....its like limbo! I keep thinking it would have to be some kind of miracle if this works first fresh embryo transfer, early blastocyst, no PGTA testing. I'm holiding hope but I feel

IVF stimulations for 17 days - at what size should be trigger?
Hi All, This is my 7th and possibly last cycle with OE. I usually needed about 11-13 days of stimulations. I had my scan today on 14th days of stimulations and 15th day of my cycle. My follicle sizes are 21,18,16,2x15,3x14. The clinic has advised to have another scan on Friday and collection on Monday

Low PAPP-A - experience?
The screening results from the 12 weeks combined test have just come back & I was notified of low PAPP-A (0.39). This resulted in no changes to the protocol, as I had already been referred to a high-risk pregnancy care due to it being an IVF DE pregnancy (so 150mg aspirin daily, serial growth scans from

Folicles developing slowly during stimulation- any success story?
Hello, I hope everyone is doing well and has all the support you need around you. I'm on my first cycle of IVF - started ovarian stimulation last Monday, so it's been a week. I had my first scan from which the clinic said they were developing rather slowly (the number is ok but the sizes are small)

Cycle buddies?
Hello, I've just started Norethisterone today to start our very last ever cycle and was wondering if anyone else is starting a cycle and wants to share the ups and downs. I'm on a short flare cycle so will be starting injections in 2 weeks and depending on how I respond egg collection will be around

Scan HELP!
Hi all, hope you are all well! We did our first IVF cycle Oct 23, which was positive however we had a MMC at 9 weeks and had medication management through EPU, which on my re- scan 10 days later they said no retained product of conception could be seen, so we were discharged back to our IVF clinic to

Light periods and FET success?
Morning all, hope your Mondays are treating you well. Has anyone suffered with light periods (1-2 day max) yet seen success with fresh or frozen transfers? I’ve started on meds for my first frozen transfer (after a failed fresh transfer in Nov). My periods have always been light after coming off the

Success with 6 dominant follicles?
This is my first IVF cycle and I'm feeling a little lost. I had my last monitoring scan today and my retrieval is scheduled in 3 days. I have 6 dominant follicles (3 on each side) and a few more smaller ones. They didn't really go into much about those. The biggest on the left is 18mm and 17.7mm

The cost of IVF
How do you stop yourself worrying about the financial side of IVF? The costs, extras etc. I'm a solo mum by choice and very lucky to already have a son as a result of IUI (4th go) 2 years ago. I'm now trying for a sibling, so far 3 failed IUIs and 1 failed IVF. I'm 38 with a low-ish AMH. The cost

Advice: RIF, ERA and PRP
Hi Everyone I've been searching for people's experience of RIF and their dilemma to use ERA tests. I had my third failed Donor Egg cycle, two cycles with two 5AA blastocyst. In theory it should have implanted. My husband had Karyotype and semen fragmentation test it came out fine. Young egg donor

IVF strain on relationship - will arguments affect implantation chances?
I have been clashing with my husband alot for the past month. We have had quite a few arguments mainly surrounding me ‘taking this whole thing too seriously’ and him going out without me to clubs and pubs and drinking and coming home late. He has been pretty unsupportive I hate to say. I had my fresh

Good responder but low blast rate - egg or sperm issue?
This is an update I hoped I wouldn't have to make. I arrived at the clinic for my 5-day embryo transfer yesterday full of hope. Unfortunately the embryologist said that I had only one embryo that had made it to early blast-the other six were still morulas. They transferred the early blast and kept the

Spotting with Norethisterone
Hi all! Has anyone experienced spotting whilst taking Norethisterone during the first phase of IVF? I just found the lightest bit of spotting, I’m on day 6 of taking Norethisterone and will be stopping on the 26th so am not expecting a period until after that. I think the spotting is probably just
