HIGH FERRITIN
Hello partners We always speak of low Ferritin, because that condition is what can indicate that iron is low in the body and consequently in the brain, producing R.L.S. I´m suffering from PMML, and an ultrasound brain Doppler test confirmed insufficient iron in brain stores. But nevertheless I have 700

Laparoscopy next week! Prep?!
Hi everyone, I know there’s lots in here already and I’ll go back and read when my brains stopped whirring but I just got a call with a cancellation and am booked in for my laparoscopy and cystectomy for Thursday 11th March next week! I’m now having an absolute spiral that I haven’t prepared, don’t

Which department do I go to for a deformed sternum?
I am 64 years of age, have epilepsy, but it is my deformed sternum, about an inch higher on my left hand side of my chest, born with it, about 75% capability of normal breathing because of it. One of the ribs dislocates horizontally when I sit down, and get up. All my ribs have broken at various times

I’m recovering from a total knee replacement and my fibromyalgia is off the charts. I can’t seem to get ahead of the pain. But I’m hoping this is all for the greater good.

New test results, help please
Hello, I am attaching some new test results in the hope that someone can enlighten me as to the way forward with my struggling health. Mostly fatigue, feeling cold, lack of motivation, sore eyes & thoroughly fed up with the task at hand, sorry to be so glum. I have been working with a nutritionist

CT scan
Not me, a member of my family has been diagnosed with breast cancer for a 2nd time. Not sure what type. All I know it the lump is a centimetre, has come from a duct. She has been offered a lumpectomy with radiotherapy or 2nd mastectomy with medication for five years. I’m worried now though as she has

HIPEC
Has anyone here had, or knows of someone, that has had HIPEC for metastasised stomach cancer? My husband has one metastatic tumour 4 yrs after his gastrectomy. It is in an awkward position and 6 months of standard chemo has had little effect and they’ve had to lower the dose of radiotherapy for fear

Anyone on Ibrance have lowering haemoglobin and rising liver enzyme AST? Concerned it may be cancer in marrow....
Hi all I've been on Ibrance and Letrozole since MBC diagnosis in August 2019 to bones and marrow (after primary bilateral mastectomy, immediate lat dorsi reconstruction, chemo, rads, and Herceptin in 2010). Stable CT scans since, but now AST liver enzyme rising, my Ferritin (which is odd with low haemoglobin

Need your opinion
I always try to be upbeat about my posts. Don't post often, but enjoy reading about the strength of all of you warriors. I was diagnosed in 2016 with a very small cancer in left breast. Had lumpectomy and 21 rounds of left breast radiation. Like so many, I thought I was done. I was told recurrence

NI Fertility treatments issues
Hi! I'm new to the forum, I've come across it when I looked for advice and information on what is available to me in Northern Ireland. When I met my partner he had already gone through with vasectomy procedure having had a child from his previous relationship. We were hoping we could get an NHS funded

My history of diagnosis
I am 63, husband and 3 kids, the youngest is 17. I ad cancer and full mastectomy of my left breast on December 2005. Chemo, radiation, the whole process. December of 2020 I've been diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Shocking, I thought I was done with cancer. I am now halfway through

Hello all. I am new to the site. I have been searching for a MBC-specific group to join since our situation is vastly different than many others. I went through my initial Breast Cancer starting in 2012. Stage 3. Chemo, radiation, bilateral mastectomy, reconstruction. All was well until October
