So due to 3 unsuccessful laps as such where things keep sticking back and the back pain leg pain is too much! I will be 42yrs old this year ( hence why they are leaving my left tube & ovary) so I do t go into the full menopause. Has anyone recently had this please? Does it help? I’ve herd endometriosis can still grow back just in another place? Just looking to talk things through please?

Total hysterectomy removing cervix, one side ( ovary & Fallopian tube)
I’m in a similar situation, after 1 unsuccessful lap, which resulted in the removal of the left Fallopian tube, I’m due another to get the left ovary removed! But it’s complicated! It’s infected! It abscessed! But it’s also stuck to my bowel, and I might be left with a colostomy when they try to remove it.
I *almost* got a hysterectomy to go with it! But because I’m 35 and childless they have refused! I was gutted! Although not a cure, surely less is more!
My left fallopian was removed because it was strangling my bowel, my left ovary is being removed because it’s abscessed and stuck to my bowel! I can’t wait for when my uterus also ends up stuck to my bowel 🤣.
Although, I have Endo between my uterus and bladder, so maybe this won’t stick to my bowel, but instead my bladder!
It’s a hard decision to make, and I am like you, in so much pain I’m outpaced by pensioners with walking sticks, but at this point, what option is there? I’ve told them I want it all gone, but it looks like I’ll be in for more of the same!
Best of luck whatever you decide! Xx
Oh you poor thing! I hope you get things sorted soon. I had to change hospitals due to keep being told ( I may want to have children) when I’d rather be pain free and will not be having children! I think taking it all out should help! Well I’m hoping! You take care of yourself x
Hi Cesca79! I am seriously considering doing the same. I have also posted asking for similar experiences. I am 35 and do not want children. Do you have endo on your ovaries? I do, and it just keeps coming back, which makes me think that leaving them might not be an option for me? Is this something that was discussed with you?
Hello Ivy00,
So I have extreme pain on my left side and my ovary and tube keep sticking together and on my side! Plus I suffer with urine infection which then in turn go to kidney infections. My endo also is present in my uterus hence why the total hysterectomy but by keeping my right side ( which doesn’t cause me pain) will stop me going into the full menopause! Happy to talk through on a DM if you want?!
