Ashrajput I have had to remove the image you posted as it contained the name of your doctor - you are welcome to repost without these details present. The RBC showed high RDW and note at the bottom included a statement saying that the variation in size of your sells is much larger than normal. This note at the bottom implied that the spread is such that you have both microcytic and macrocytic cells which could be caused by having both B12/folate deficiency and iron deficiency - so the medications prescribed should correct this.

Aside from tests 1 and 2 confirming that you are B12. B9 and iron deficient the other test results don't look significnat but I am not a medical expert and this forum is n't a nsubstitute for professional medical advice. Rigth now it probably isn't worth doing any more tests other than the ones you have aboce, certainly not blood tests - it takes a few months for the body to make new red blood cells to reverse anaemia.

You could ask for tests to look into why you are deficient - either diet or something going on in the gut but it would be best to talk this through with your doctor.

A high RDW with a normal MCV might suggest both macrocytic anaemia and microcytic anaemia. But, with an MCV of just 73.5, it's almost certainly just microcytic anaemia. Iron deficiency can cause a raised RDW.

However, a varied size distribution of red blood cells is a hallmark of iron deficiency anemia, and as such shows an increased RDW in virtually all cases.

Have you been offered iron infusions or are you only taking tablets? Are you having b12 injections? As you know, you have extremely low levels of both.

Hopefully you will soon start to improve. How often are you having injections? If you have neurological symptoms it should be frequently, every other day if possible.

Sir at the start I'd injections every alternate day for 10 days that way I took 5 injections and now I'm having weekly 1 injection and to b on safer side now bcz of weekly injection I'm also consuming mecoblamin strip 1500mcg 2 in between the 7 days

Where are you based. My levels look totally different but they don't print the damn mmom or liters or units of measure so i don't know who to read them. I am really confused.
