Hormonal therapy ?
Hi, I was diagnosed with extended DCIS with ER+, PR+.I had a total mastectomy with a diep flap 2 weeks ago, My surgeon referred me to medical oncology for hormonal therapy. I am curious do I still need hormonal therapy as I already had a mastectomy, as far as cancer recurrence and preventing cancer

Spotting - ovarian cancer
I have stage IIIb ovarian clear cell, and I had my first chemo infusion 10 days ago. I've just started to feel a little better after all the side effects. A worrisome new symptom has come up today (Sunday), which was a little spotting when I went pee. I had a total hysterectomy in September, and I can't

low immunoglobulins and knee replacement
I’m contemplating total knee replacement. My concern is that my immunoglobulins have sunk below normal range - but not low enough to start infusions. Has anyone else had to consider this? What recommendations were made to you? Did you go ahead with surgery? Did you have complications? So much to think

frustrated and frightened
This is not a question, and sorry very long so don’t feel you need to read, just feel I need to connect with those who understand. I was due to have a total hysterectomy, bowel resection and excision of any endo on Monday at a BSGE centre and have been cancelled last minute due to the junior doctors

I had total knee replacement 11 days ago. What exercises should I be doing? Knee is v swollen, v painful! I'm trying to walk little bits throughout the day with crutches. Bending the knee is agony due to swelling.Seeing physio end of next week. They didn't give me any exercises when leaving hospital.

I'm now finally on the waiting list for a total hysterectomy which should get rid of the bulk of my pain - and therefore i will stop the pain medication. However, I've now to have a meeting with a chronic pain

post menopausal health problems - pain in pelvic area after total hysterectomy
Hi Since being properly post menopausal and having a total hysterectomy for early stage cancer which was cured by surgery, I have developed several new health issues. One which causes me a lot of discomfort is pain in my pelvic area - it feels like it’s just inside my right buttock near the perineum

Pain relief. How do advocate for myself?
Hello lovely people. Wishing you a peaceful pain free day.I need some support on how to advocate for myself as I'm pretty useless. I'm currently on the waiting list for a total hysterectomy for stage 4 and will be my 4th op. I've been on strong opioid pain meds for 11 years using them to varying degrees

Link between adhesions and ongoing abdominal pain.
Happy New year to everyone. I wonder if anyone has had a similar experience? .20 years ago after several years of abdominal pain I had a total hysterectomy. They found that my abdomen was full of violin string adhesions. I was great for a short time then I started to have intermittent abdominal pain

Happy New Year
I'm well and coming up to first anniversary of total hysterectomy for grade 1b ovarian cancer. No treatment just 3 monthly follow ups with CA125. I am very emotional and feeling like a bit of a fraud for not just being very grateful that I am still here. Thanks

I was on here quite a bit after a total knee replacement two years ago. Nothing much seemed to help that wasn't either an opoid or some other harsh drug. I decided to load up on Fenugreek water each day (one quart from simmering 2 Tablesp. seed in one quart of water, cooling, then straining-seeds can

Buprenorphine vs. hydromorphone or other opioids
So I noticed during and after a recent TKR that the buprenorphine that I take for my RLS interacts with the hydromorphone that my surgeon prescribed for me for pain. First, when I was taking my buprenorphine along with the hydromorphone, the hydromorphone wasn't easing my pain because the buprenorphine

infections caused by endo
Hi everyone, sorry this is long, I hope you are all having a ‘low pain’ day. I was just wondering, out of curiosity, if anyone else has suffered from abdominal infections caused by endo. Can’t decide
I have significant stage 4 endometriosis and adenomyosis for which I’ve had multiple surgeries including two excision and removal of left ovary and both tubes. Since my last excision I’ve been in pain every day which is now much worse as the disease returns within months of surgery even when excised
