Hashimotos, recent blood test results, feeling awful :(
Have a large benign nodule (irregular edges) and smaller nodules and two episodes of
thyroiditis
20 years ago after my daughter was born (hyperactive symptoms confirmed by blood test results). I have never taken any thyroid medication.

Hypothyroid - sister's results
But that is how I started off and it needed an endocrinologist to interpret my results and diagnose my
thyroiditis
which led to hypothyroidism.

Can I please ask some advice?
She said that it was very enlarged and that the coarse texture looked like it was caused by
thyroiditis
. At this point they hadn't had the antibodies result. Does anybody have a similar experience? I am very symptomatic and it's been far from a pleasant journey.

Can mayonnaise cure my infertility?
I already knew I had Hashimoto’s
thyroiditis
, a condition that meant my own immune system was attacking my thyroid. ... Posted for your interest and discussion - not a recommendation. https://www.theguardian.com/society/2016/nov/12/can-mayonnaise-cure-infertility

Raised prolactin
When it was removed the surgeon said there was clear signs of
thyroiditis
in that left side. After 7months of struggling after the op the gp put me on 50mg of levothyroxine even though my levels were within normal range but just at the lower end.

Help with sister's results
But that is how I started off and it needed an endocrinologist to interpret my results and diagnose my
thyroiditis
which led to hypothyroidism. Any opinions on my sister's results below? Should she ask for T3 to be tested. Should she ask for referral to see an endocrinologist?

Results from Blue Horizon
The finding of a positive thyroid antibody result in addition increases the possibility of your having autoimmune thyroid disease, such as Hashimoto's
thyroiditis
or Grave's disease. The ferritin level is high.

Graves/thyroiditis
I have had a phone call telling me that my antibodies show graves disease rather than
thyroiditis
, but the fact that my results came down very fast does not tie into that diagnosis. Anyone else had a similar problem/ diagnosis. Thanks

It's been an interesting journey
I also Hashimoto's
thyroiditis
. I have severe fatigue and have had extreme itching on my arms. Last week I had pain so severe I couldn't move my arm, come to find out I have a massive blood clot in my arm. Just wondering if anyone has had any problems with blood clots.

Ferritin test results skewed, b12 not resolved or something else?
Had
thyroiditis
after pregnancy (hyper, then hypo) but it settled. Healthy diet, no alcohol, no smoking... but clearly becoming a hypochondriac :)

Finally having surgery on Thursday
After 9 months of seeing 2 GPs, 1 ENT specialist, 2 endocrinologists, I finally saw the surgeon last week. 9 months of pain (possibly due to recurrent
thyroiditis
).

Test Results
Hi All, I have just received my blood tests results and here are my results TSH - 3.42 Free T3 - 2.7 Free T4 - 1.11 All are within the "norm" however my TPO was 138.9 (normal 0.0 - 34.0) which is positive for autoimmune
thyroiditis
- which increases the risk for thyroid dysfunction in the future

A trial dose of levothroxine
In 2010 I had 3 surgeries within 9 weeks, which I was told could have been a factor in me having
thyroiditis
. Even though my consultant suggested I may need thyroxine the GP's I have seen since do my bloods and tell me my results are normal.

Hashitoxicosis
What I am trying to work out is whether I had: Postnatal
Thyroiditis
(and just happened to be treated for the transient hyper phase because it was so high) or Hashitoxicosis - however I can still find little to support the transient hyper phase of this being treated in the same way as Graves.
