A trial dose of levothroxine
In 2010 I had 3 surgeries within 9 weeks, which I was told could have been a factor in me having
thyroiditis
. Even though my consultant suggested I may need thyroxine the GP's I have seen since do my bloods and tell me my results are normal.

Hashitoxicosis
What I am trying to work out is whether I had: Postnatal
Thyroiditis
(and just happened to be treated for the transient hyper phase because it was so high) or Hashitoxicosis - however I can still find little to support the transient hyper phase of this being treated in the same way as Graves.

New Sufferer - Was Hyperthyroid now Hypothyroid & reluctant to start thyroxine.
The endocrinologist said she's not sure if this is viral
thyroiditis
(I was perfectly well before this started) or graves. I have antibodies. 3 weeks later & 2 weeks after stopping carb my bloods are ft4 5.7 & tsh 62. My endo now wants me to take 75mg levothyroxine.

Hypothyroidism and raised prolactin
When it was removed the surgeon said there was clear signs of
thyroiditis
in that left side. After 7months of struggling after the op the gp put me on 50mg of levothyroxine even though my levels were within normal range but just at the lower end.

I'm new here... How can I get T3 test?
I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's
thyroiditis
a year ago and have been on levothyryxine since. My dosage was increased earlier this year and my TSH and T4 levels recently showed as normal despite still having many symptoms - hair loss, brain fog, fatigue, anxiety, weight gain.

Celiac screening
Looking at celiac.org, they say NICE has advised that those with autoimmune
thyroiditis
should be offered celiac test on diagnosis ... is this happening? Didn't happen to me.

Help, please, now have TSH and T3 and T4 tests done
While I was having an ultrasound the radiologist said it looked as if I have or have had autoimmune
thyroiditis
. So I have been sent for these tests. The Doctor says they are normal.

Guidance with Erfa
The BH test showed TP antibodies and a recent ultrasound scan showed 'thyroid is very small indicative of chronic
thyroiditis
' Endo had prescribed 2 x 30mg to be taken for around 6 weeks, then have a blood test. So I'm just starting week 4 but only just got to this full dose.

Help with Blood test results
Thyroiditis
can also present a laboratory picture of primary hypothyroidism. In addition to low FT4, low FT3, and elevated TSH, anti-thyroglobulin, anti-thyroid peroxidase, or anti-TSH antibodies may be elevated, blocking the production and release of thyroid hormone.

Elevated B12
I have Hashimoto's
Thyroiditis
and Mast Cell Activation Disorder. I know a high level can be caused by blood diseases and tumors but was wondering if it could be caused by my Hashimoto's or the MCAD or something less benign. Thank you!

Update on Thyroid Ultrasound
If my thyroid results confirm
thyroiditis
, he's going to send me for a contrast MRI to try and find out which autoimmune disorder could be causing me to get all out of whack.

In need of other opinions
Endometriosis isn't the only problem I'm having, since during this last year I've been diagnosed with autoimmune Hashimoto
thyroiditis
, alopecia areata and I'm now doing tests as I'm suspected to have Crohn syndrome.

Any further advice on Blue Horizons results greatly appreciated :)
The finding of a positive thyroid antibody result in addition increases the possibility of your having autoimmune thyroid disease, such as Hashimoto's
thyroiditis
or Grave's disease. Thank you :)
