Haven't posted in a while - Severe anxiety attacks!
I eventually got diagnosed with 'Hashimoto's
thyroiditis
'. It's an autoimmune thyroid issue that exaggerates the symptoms of hypothyroidism. Feeling much better, more active and way less tired after taking my medication.

Sleep Apnea - any experience or advice.
My ultrasound and biopsy results showed
thyroiditis
. Specialist requested CT scan and sleep apnea test as I have swallowing issues and extreme fatigue. My sleep study shows I need a CPAP machine to help me breath at night !!

Post partum thyroiditis.
Diagnosed last summer after having my son with
thyroiditis
and pernicious anaemia. Was started on Levo 50mcg and b12 jags. Since then I have felt no better I'm beyond exhausted I only work 2 days a week but they are 12 hour shifts and I'm struggling with that.

Hair loss due to thyroid dysfunction?
Now having seen numerous doctors to regain my hair after the surgery, some indicate low thyroid function (naturopaths) and
thyroiditis
with enlarged thyroid and nodules (endocrinologist), though I wonder at reproductive hormone imbalance.

Hashimotos and nodules
Ok... so, I just wanted to run this by you guys: If thyroid nodules are common in autoimmune
thyroiditis
and autoimmune
thyroiditis
leads to hypothyroidism, is it ok to assume nodules are common with hypothyroidism? Thanks.

Feel like crying
To be told your TSH is normal so it cannot be autoimmune
thyroiditis
(I have 2 other autoimmune diseases). It could be anything the dr said. Kept asking him what is it then? He had no answers but has asked for further blood tests and see him in a week.

A little help from my friends
Can't feel a nodule or inflammation, My GP will literally only test TSH which came back at 1.8 I've read on thyroid UK these symptoms are often down to sub accute
thyroiditis
but my notes say hypothyroid. That's it. I've had anti body tests which didn't meet the minimum for hashi.

Advice for a new member please.
We will see her again in three months time to see if this
thyroiditis
flare is dying down. If she remains hyperthyroid a trial of ATD might not be a bad idea.

The positive thyroid antibody result, increases the possibility of your having autoimmune thyroid disease, such as Hashimoto's
thyroiditis
or Grave's disease. The Vitamin B12 level is elevated.

Thank you for all your replies
To those who mentioned
Thyroiditis
, I have had auto-immune
thyroiditis
for 27 years now and have been taking thyroxine for it. I must admit, though, that my weight problem has always been down to overeating.
