Hashimotos and nodules

Ok... so, I just wanted to run this by you guys: If thyroid nodules are common in autoimmune thyroiditis and autoimmune thyroiditis leads to hypothyroidism, is it ok to assume nodules are common with hypothyroidism? Thanks.

ElizabethM,

Nodules are common in hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism. It would be unusual to die without having one or two thyroid nodules.
