Losing Lupus diagnosis
One paper is https://doi.org/en.2003-0918 Complement activation by direct C4 binding to thyroperoxidase in Hashimoto's
thyroiditis
. One of my questions is, Are there two or more types of lupus, triggered by different proteins?

Thyroid Function Results
Serum free T4 level Result 15.9 pmol/L Serum TSH level Result 0.62 mU/L Serum vitamin B12 Result 253 ng/L I apparently had
thyroiditis
as well as the cancer but that was only identified post thyroidectomy. Consequently I was unable to have RAL.

Low TSH, Subacute Thyroiditis & Iodine Excess
I've seen an endocrinologist and had a RAIU scan which has confirmed the cause as subacute
thyroiditis
, which in hindsight, I believe I had at the end of June 2022.

autoimmune thyroiditis
Hi, I last had my antibodies tested in Dec 2021 when I was diagnosed with autoimmune
thyroiditis
results:Serum Thyroid Peroxidase 1,300, range <100. Do GPs retest you, or is it likely I'll need to test privately and pay?

Looking back on my thyroid journey, a success story and motivation to keep on fighting :)
It didn’t mention my diagnosis of Hashimoto’s
thyroiditis
anywhere, it didn’t even have the word thyroid in it. Instead, she had “diagnosed” me with chronic fatigue syndrome, a condition which I do not have.

Misleading FT4 Result In A Patient With Hashimoto's Thyroiditis
Here, we present a case of a 70-year-old woman who is known to have hashimoto's
thyroiditis
maintained on Levothyroxine (LT4) for more than 10 years, but was stopped by her primary care physician due to abnormal thyroid panel results (high TSH and high fT4).

Hyperthyroidism- follow up blood test
I have another blood test in 2 weeks to test if it’s postpartum
thyroiditis
or Graves, which the consultant has sent me a special form for. I’m going to ask if they can test this today though as I’d rather know sooner than later what I'm dealing with. thanks ☺️

cortisol and adrenaline - stress system seems broken - exaggerated response to normal stress
My thyroid blood tests are normal, so I don’t have a thyroid condition - though I don’t know what I do have, as I had de Quervain’s
thyroiditis
eight years ago, and I haven’t been the same since. My recent blood test showed normal cortisol too.

Advice on folic acid
I am 65 years old and also have hashimotos
thyroiditis
for 30 + yrs. I had been under my gp for low b12 and folate for over a year ( just given folic acid) as my b12 was not low enough to start injections. PA runs in our family though.

I have a diagnosis and it's not hashimotos, it's acromegaly
A decent proportion, especially women with this disease end up with
thyroiditis
, it's hard to diagnose because the symptoms are very general (most of mine were put down to going through the menopause by both me and my GPs).

Possible thyroid removal
After 8 years of seeing an endocrinologist, diagnosed with autoimmune
thyroiditis
but with no treatment offered because my blood tests were always deemed normal, I had a huge shock last year when I was undergoing surgery for breast cancer.

Atrophic thyroiditis
I read a scary case history about a woman with atrophic
thyroiditis
who died quite suddenly from it. The terror and confusion and loneliness from this illness never ends. I would be grateful for any and all help! Thank you.

post Papillary Thyroid Cancer
Was not able to have RAI as had apparently had
thyroiditis
(picked up when thyroid examined post op). Was on 100 mg levothyroxine and felt like a new woman., joined a gym and gradually lost 10lbs. Still under consultant annually now.

Does a TSH of 5.16 mean that I have mild hypothyroidism?
About 6 months ago, I asked for my thyroid to be tested, because often times people with PA also have other autoimmune issues like
thyroiditis
or hashimoto's. My TSH is 5.16. The range varies, like B12 varies, per lab.
