My Hashimoto’s Story
I thought I would share my story in the hope it may help other people suffering with hashimoto’s. At the age of 43 and a year of suffering chronic UTI’s, stomach pain and digestive issues I was diagnosed with Coeliac disease, lymphocytic colitis Dec 2015 and commenced a gluten free diet which helped

Hashimotos & gluten free newbie!
I have been following an extremely strict gluten free diet for just under four weeks now. My mood has improved hugely, I feel more alert, and generally more human! So far I haven't lost any weight- but still really happy with progress. ANYWAY! I was tested for celiac last November and it came back negative

Too much NDT perhaps?
During the last year I've struggled to raise my NDT dose because i seemed to create adverse symptoms. However after about a year of taking various supplements for adrenal issues, I did get brave a couple of weeks ago and increased the dose by a small amount. Two to three weeks in, I seem to be tolerating

Under Active Thyroid & Supplements
Hi All, I have an under active thyroid and take 125mg of Levothyroxine per day. I also have a Hiatal Hernia and take 40mg of Pantaprazole per day. I have recently started taking supplements to help with these things, but also to help with my general health. I have been taking 2 x 2000mg of Omega-3 fish

Gluten free diet?
Hi everyone, being newly diagnosed with endometriosis I really want to try and find things that help with the pain other than painkillers. Has anyone tried a gluten free diet? Has it helped? x

BRAIN FOG DISCUSSION - NUMEROUS REPORTS OF ABUSE
I'd like to remind members that it is expected that people will be courteous to others when posting comments. The topic of Brain Fog is very interesting but it seems that some people object to another's point of view and have become confrontational and dismissive of other peoples views. * Please do

Today's research. Tea anyone?
I posted this in the Ataxia UK forum because of the links to SCA that I found, but I was asked to repost here so . . . no prob :D In terms of relevance to Parkinson's I will just say that alpha-syn is a "misfolded protein" so there may be a commonality. - - I began this morning by reading this paper

SAD light
I am a carer and work nights, I get up everyday at 16.00 and go to bed at 09.00. I've noticed my joint discomfort and pain is getting worse. I obviously take my pain relief but I have started taking vitamin D and cod liver oil. I have just bought a SAD lamp as I thought this might help too, with raising

I have a 9yr old adopted daughter who’s got both inattentive & hyperactive ADHD, we have tried, Adderall RX, Focalin, Guanfacine, Straterra, now methylphenidate, and we are still struggling. I know there’s no one cure, just wondering what works best for your kids.. she also takes supplements, calcium

Tried to lower dose of fleicanide to 75mug 2x a day since it has caused a long QT wave. Cutting a 100mg pill to 75 mg is impossible. Now, I have had quivering like my heart wants to do the dirty deed and go into a fib. I cough and it stops. Going back on 100mg two times a day, darnit. I will not take

Gluten-Free is Good!
I have noticed that many of us are on Gluten-Free diets. Are there any other big food item monsters out there that aggravate Behçet’s inflammation? Going Gluten-Free was a game changer for me, at least for a while. I definitely felt markedly better on the GF diet within about a week. Thanks! Dave
