Hot flushes and levoxthyrine
Hello. I am on levoxthyrine and also suffering horrendous night sweats and hot flushes due to menopause. What can I take to ease these symptoms that is compatible with levoxthyrine? My doctor said that soy works but then told me that I cannot take it with levoxthyrine and didn't give me any alternative

New Formulation of Teva Brand Levothyroxine
I have been on Health Unlocked for Thyroid Condition. I have been told by a benign Pharmacist years ago that as dosage of levothyroxine is the main thing the brand did not matter. However whatever you get will never work how your body would, so the thing is to get brand that does the least damage in

Fat.
I began writing this yesterday after seeing the Daily Mail headline: - "Fatty Western diets make prostate cancer more aggressive" This from a newspaper that advised men to drink flaxseed oil to avoid PCa. Ugh! After a while, I became weary of the subject & the stupidity of the media, so listened to

Hi There... this is my first post but I have learned a lot from the Patient perspective by reading your posts. I learn things that I’m never going to learn from an Oncologist. I have survived 5 1/2 years from MBC and although on constant drugs I only once agreed to chemotherapy. After 11 weeks I told

New drug Constella (Linaclotide)
Have been an ibs sufferer for many years and have just had a severe 6 day bout of constipation. (Which took a massive amount of laxatives to resolve). I already take one and a half Movicol sachets per day and 25mg Amitriptyline. I have just been given a new drug called Constella 290mg but forgot to

Anti-thyroid antibodies
I have been on Levothyroxine for 2 years and my TSH levels are now normal, but I have just had a full thyroid blood test and my antibody levels are really high at 148 kIU/L. I am now trying a gluten free diet but would appreciate any other advice to reduce these levels.

If you have PBC, you are at higher risk for Celiac Disease
I have recently been diagnosed with Celiac's Disease which is another autoimmune disorder affecting the small intestine, liver and other body systems. Apparently, those with PBC are at higher risk of developing Celiac disease and some authorities say that those diagnosed with PBC should also get tested

Methylation. What is is? Why is it so VERY Important....Also backs up topics discussed in The Broken Brain Docu-series.
With the complexity of Thyroid issues, the very fact that we have brain fog and the mass of information out there it easy to miss important things that can help us. Not all of us know or understand what "Methylation" is? I came across an excellent site. Please see the link below. But before you do, I

Oxybutynin
I'm sure it's just wishful thinking but I have suspected in the last year that my oxybutynin pills have not been consistent in their strength. The only reason I would even question this is because I chew all my medicine except cymbalta. Even my fish oil supplements. Weird, yes,oh well. The majority

Joint and bone aching pain

Since early Jan this year after a minor fall on ice I have had particularly more pain - mainly in shoulders, elbows and knees. Yesterday I woke with

How to Age Well
How to Age Well By Tara Parker-Pope @nytimeswell Save for Later Getting older is inevitable (and certainly better than the alternative). While you can’t control your age, you can slow the decline of aging with smart choices along the way. From the foods you eat and how you exercise to your friendships

Supplements to help prostap side effects
Hi I’ve been put on prostap as I’ve been diagnosed with post ablation syndrome. And I’m expecting the dreaded menopause symptoms to start soon. I’ve read lots about natural remedies - eg starflower oil and black cosh magnesium etc. But my question is are these recommended for when you are in menopause

Do supplements and alternative medicines help even a bit in controlling hyper impulsive behavior and better focus..any experiences?
Hi friends, I have a 11 year old who is diagnosed with ADHD. Can anyone share your experiences with giving supplements to your kids? Did it work? I have been giving multivitamin and fish oil and yet to see any prominent change. Thinking about Gaba supplements.
