Fish oil

Is anyone giving their child fish oil as a supplement? If so what kind? The Pediatrian recommended that i give my child fish oil supplements buy she did not recommended one!

Barleans kids omega swirl! Taste lime lemonade, my son loves it! And that's saying a lot, he hates taking any kind of medicine or vitamins.

My kids took Omega Pure oil for awhile. It was tasteless, and I would give it to them on a spoon, but you can also mix it in things.

Psychiatrist recommended 2000 mg of fish oil daily and said Nordic Naturals is a great brand. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find that many mg in their mini pills. The other pills are too big for my son to swallow. I boy the ultimate omega 2x mini soft gels which provide 1120 mg in 2 pills which he takes every night.

I bought a bottle of smarty pants with fish oil. Some reviews on amazon say that it caused their child to become more hyper and sped up heart rate! So i am scared to try it now.

Hmmmm I never tried smarty pants but I did do some gummy vitamins including an omega vitamin. I was told he didn’t need the other stuff and the gummy didn’t have enough omegas. I didn’t think my son could swallow pills but he has done really well. The good part about the Nordic naturals is they don’t have an aftertaste and you can cut them open and add them to stuff if you need to. Warning....they are expensive!
