New to PMR GCA - Looking for diet-related treatment
Hi folks. I am so happy to have found this site! I was just diagnosed yesterday and put on prednisone. This is my second diagnosed autoimmune disease - I was diagnosed with SLE (Lupus) in 2009. I was able to get all my Lupus symptoms under control, resulting in almost normal labs, through stress

You can buy great boric acid capsules on etsy.com that have
tea
tree
oil
and coconut oil in them, which do wonders to also dull the pain. 3. I have to treat my vagina like a delicate flower. I had to get honest about this. Boyfriend cannot bang away in there for hours anymore.

Washing Pet Dander out of clothes?
Is there a product that can do this? We had a rabbit and his dander was on our clothes and has spread to others. We’ve tried washing at high temperatures, multiple rinses, anti allergen product from Amazon, Eucalyptus Oil but the clothes still give me asthma! Is there a magical product out there? Thanks

90 day drug holiday
I started the 90 drug free holiday with a PSA of 0.08. Next it went down to 0.06. This week it was 0.04. My GP roll around a sonar and we couldn't find any swollen lymph nodes. A year ago my first MRI showed a blib of 9mm on the liver. It is now 15 months later and it is still 9 mm. The GP and my oncologist

Your Medication And Supplements
Earlier this week there was a post where the issue related to the addition of turmeric as a supplement when taking anticoagulants. Interestingly around the weekend I got send a link from my old university (was one of the top polytechnics at the time) about a recent piece of research about taking supplements

Hi Everyone. My Mum has been diagnosed with copd. She is in her late 60s and stopped smoking 10 years ago. How can I best help her?
Looking at ways that can help with my Mum's copd. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've been looking at essential oils and diffussers.

What affects blood test results?
I remember reading on here that certain supplements affect thyroid blood test results but I can't seem to find that information anymore. I currently take tumeric, fish oil, vit D, vit C, CBD oil and iron. Do any of these affect blood test results if taken a day before the test? I know it's important

Castor Oil Packs???
I found this excellent page detailing how to heal your thyroid naturally - most I already do as have been recommended on here and I’m feeling so much better. I’d like to ask if anyone has tried Castor Oil Packs? I’ve heard excellent reviews that they do work and can help detox the liver and help heal

Stopped Rosuvastin and now normal lipid.
Yes, I quited rosuvastatin 5 mg, then lipid rose high. But now I 'm in normal range of lipid profile. I was fighting since 2/3 years. But was on strict diet like fruits only on breakfast, raw veg plus brown rice with veg curry meal on lunch and boiled veg food on dinner and workout 1 hour + yoga. Omega

Are nausea + digestive cramps side effects of all levothyroxines?
I've recently been put on a brand (first time ever, I'm 66) for hypothyroid (which I think I've had for decades) - 25mg. By mid morning I felt nauseous, which stayed all day. I didn't want lunch (unheard of), though I was able to eat it. Then, in the early evening I also started getting tummy/lower

Omega-3 oils and bisoprolol - Article in the Times
I read an article in the Times yesterday (25 Sept) that amongst other 'health supplements', Omega-3 fish oil supplements can affect bisoprolol. The comments come from some research at the University of Hertfordshire and were published in the British Journal of General Practice. I've uploaded the article

Ideas for staying asleep (not falling asleep)?
My 7 yo son falls asleep the instant his head hits the pillow, but he gets up several times each night. He takes care of himself at night (uses the potty and back to bed), but it really disrupts his sleep and leaves him always exhausted. This has been going on for years. We recently started epsom
