I’m rare apparently!
Just had a f2f with my rheumatologist upshot is I have both RA and PSA usually have one or the other not both . I don’t have psoriasis but it’s in the family. So a game of messing with meds . First off upping MTX. I’ve had problems with the higher doses before so going to try again. He doesn’t want to

I'm female, mid 50s and have osteoarthritis. I hope someone can answer a few queries. Is it normal to get severe flare ups with osteoarthritis or does that point to rheumatoid arthritis? Over the last 6 months, I've noticed that my body has been producing increased areas of bone e.g. right elbow and

Osteoarthritis and lupus
I was wondering if anyone here has been diagnosed with both? I have lower back pain, but never had any X-ray that shows any degenerative changes. My rheumatologist mentioned last Thursday (over a phone appointment) that he thinks it is osteoarthritis in my lower back. I have significant morning stiffness

Sudden onset arthritis or thyroid issue??
I wondered if anyone can advise me please, as I'm writing on behalf of my mum. My mum started with her left knee and leg swelling about a month and a half ago following an excruciating snapping sensation to that leg, around the same time both wrists started to become painful and stiff, this has now

Should I start on adalimumab
Hi all, I've had RA for about 25years and after a few poorly years have been relatively stable on ( mostly)25mg Mxt, with a knee replacement and wrist surgery along the way. Since December I have been having fairly regular flare ups, one of which put me in A & E with a high CRP level & severe pain.

W3r1 all good! Including knees! 😊
Am getting through nice and slowly, Sue's not doing bad either, being in charge of the podcast and tells me when to run and when to walk.. knees are good, maybe I feel more positive regarding the news about osteoarthritis..or is it the glucosamine/chondroitin supplement starting to kick in? 🤔😁

bad news
I had osteoarthritis of the right hip in 2014 and had a full hip replacement with great success. some time after that i began to get back and groin pain and was referred for an MRI. The result was herniated discs and sciatica. I have just recently had another MRI and the result is mild wear and tear,

Joint Pains
Hello All.. More of a question. Last year I unilaterally upped my dose from 100mcg after feeling rubbish..basically after request to GP fell on deaf ears, I got extra levo and added 25mcg.. then 50mcg. I've been taking 150 MCG Levo for around 6 month and felt much better..a lot less comorbid symptoms

Off Daily Pred , So is it Flareups or arthritis?
When I was diagnosed with PMR January of 2021, my rheumatologist put me on 15 mg of pred and tapering by 1 or 2 mg monthly. I have been off pred since the middle of January and feel basically ok. I do get occasional flareups (I think) which I control with a 5,4,3,2,1 mg dosage over 5 days and that takes
