Is this a PMR flare Up?
Morning everyone, I need some advice because I am very confused about where I am with my PMR. I was diagnosed in October 2015 and have been on Prednisolone since then (originally 20mg a day). On 1st October this year I dropped the dose to 1mg/2mg alternate days and on 9th November to 1mg a day. This

I am going to be 50. I am experiencing hot flashes, headaches and bloating before my period worse than ever. Does anybody have Experience with post menapause and rheumatoid arthritis? Does it get easier after menopause due to no more hormone fluctuations? Is anybody still on steroids after menopause

MTX one of the safest drugs available for the treatment of RA
The safety profile of the weekly low doses used for RA treatment has been studied for over 25 years with very few clinically relevant adverse events. Courses of MTX show some of the longest continuation rates reported in clinical medicine, owing to both its effectiveness and safety. This safety profile

Never get too cocky
Just when my PMR problems have abated (fingers & toes remain crossed!), up pops a dose of cellulitis and a reminder that although muscles are returning to normal (what's that?) the osteoarthritis in my feet is very much still there! On the plus side I can now have targeted physiotherapy for the arm

Advice on seropositive RA for my 12 year old daughter, really worried.
Hi, My daughter is only twelve, in 2016 she started complaining of joint pain in her toes and fingers. I went to the GP and got a referral to a peditrician. They examined her and she had blood tests for ESR and CRP, they came back normal. So the pediatrician said there were no problems and discharged

PMR or ARTHRITIS
I am a 53-year-old female. I started with stiffness in the hips and shoulders/upper arms in October 2017. With an ESR of 36 and CRP of 23.8 the doctor thought it could be PMR and started me on 20 mg of prednisone. It did not provide immediate relief but after about a week it helped. I was referred to
