Iron study results help please
These results are already marked satisfactory at the gp
surgery
but I want to know why my ferritin result is so low. I'm not feeling that well mainly sleep issues. Thanks

The Life and Times of a Wild Chipmunk
Stayed with aunt through cardiac
surgery
and rehab. Lost house and 3/4 of contents, entire family except aunt and cat. Family does not understand depression and think tough love is the answer. Have had to live in car. In about 3 was will probably be homeless again. Don't know what to do.

treatment or no treatment?
I have declined treatment as I have yet to be convinced that the side effects and general uncertainties associated with
surgery
or radiation are worth it compared to not doing anything. Yes men die from PC but a lot die with it rather than from it.

Likelihood of hearing loss after gamma knife
I have had a follow up MRI and unfortunately the AN is growing and I’ve been recommended to undergo gamma knife
surgery
within the next year. I had very mild hearing loss upon diagnosis but surprising it improved and my hearing is technically “normal”.

Pelvic Congestion Syndrome
He said I need
surgery
to remove them but that I’d need to be referred to a different department for that (I think it was urology and another department). He also mentioned Pelvic congestion syndrome which I have never heard of before.

GENERALLY! Is there a correct sleeping position, right recovery position, left recovery position, back, high back support, v pillow, etc?
I have had back
surgery
[25 years ago], broken [fragile] clavicle right shoulder, broken skull, broken rib cage structure, so have been advised to find a comfortable sleeping position.

Another surgery and potential removal of fallopian tube + IVF
I was recommended to have another
surgery
and check the condition of endometriosis and removal also. I was told that my fallopian tube will be remove too for the preparation for IVF so i can have more chance for a successful IVF as the other tube seems damaged.

hysterectomy advice
I’ve started GNrH injections (had 4) and saw the consultant today for a review and to discuss
surgery
.
Surgery
would be a complete hysterectomy but obviously there would be assistance from potential other teams (colorectal team). Has anyone had the
surgery
and if so any pros or cons?

CABG update
So here goes - at The Royal Brompton with one last night before my triple CABG tomorrow - being woken up @ 6am before being taken down to
surgery
. Suddenly it’s all got a bit ‘real’ - oh well, what’s the worst that could happen………….

Needing to hear some encouraging stories about stage 4 inoperable OC
Unfortunately the
surgery
was attempted after 3 and now after 6 they Fuad keyhole
surgery
to see if the full op is possible and it is not. I’m devastated to not have the
surgery
as in my head that might have bought me 5 years time.

Long term Effects of radiation
I had salvage radiation in 2014 after failed RP
surgery
in 2013 at age 69 for Gleason 9 PCa. I’ve also had radiation of pelvic lymph nodes in 2015 , right femur in 2017, and a rib and clavicle in 2018. A few years ago incontinence developed. I tried clamp, sling and AUS.

tender breasts?
Things are not even now totally straightforward as about 55 years ago I had breast reduction
surgery
so the duct system was interfered with so my breast tissue is a bit lumpy generally but I cannot feel any specific lump.

Calling Type 1 Diabetics
Due to have my bypass in 2 days just wondering if there are any other type 1 diabetics who have had the
surgery
with stories to share. I have had some wonderful responses to my plea for help with feeling anxious but would love to hear from anyone else with this blessed disease 😃

Constipation post C-section - how much prune juice?!
Likely a combo of opiates during
surgery
, inactivity etc. Anyway, was prescribed lactulose in hospital and to take at home (home for 24h now) but no dice. Today I added in (what I consider to be infallible) prune juice. Still nothing so far. My question is how much prune juice do I dare??
