subclinical hyperthyroid after hemithyroidectomy
I didn’t get put on any medication post
surgery
as bloods were all ok. Lately I’ve been feeling super tired, struggling at the gym and noticing hair loss so I went to GP who did bloods for me.

Have tried the pharmacy which is okay if you can get them to answer the phone and I won’t start on problems with trying to get through to the
surgery
! have a cold which normally is no problem as I would dose up on cold meds like Night Nurse, Benylin and nasal sprays.

Surgery advice
Does anyone have any particular tips for preparing for
surgery
and then advice for post op?? Ive already had suggestions about comfy loose pjs / nighties, peppermint tea and a post
surgery
pillow. Lastly, how long roughly for recovery / time off work?

Suspected Endometriosis
Im on a waiting list for
surgery
, already been waiting 5 years. The newest symptom for me is extreme pain during bowel movement normally two days before period, its like passing sharp glass with a sharp stabbing pain going down my GI tract I think.

2nd recurrence
I was diagnosed in 2021 and had
surgery
and 6 cycles of successful Chemo. I started to feel unwell around October time with upper right back pain. CT and MRI were clear. CA125 did start to rise slowly.

thyroid problems and diabetes
I’ll be waiting a few months for that, but my gp has now referred me to a diabetic prevention clinic as I’m now pre diabetic due to the extra weight gain due to the reduction of levo and a blood test that showed an increase in Hba1c (42 mol) which I have not got a clue about, I have asked at the

Slight ache near heart
I had abdominal
surgery
in November. They used inappropriate dressings despite being warned and I had very inflamed skin on the stomach area. This all triggered paraxsysmal af. I then had terrible burning/itcing all over the torso for which I was prescribed strong pills.

Any tips for recovery please
Although I know that pneumonia can be a complication of lung
surgery
, I can pinpoint the moment my little grand daughter coughed in my face and I got some cold bug which I think resulted in the pneumonia.

x-ray results
just been down to the
surgery
to find out the results from my lumbar spine x-ray, the receptionist wouldn't print it off for me till the gp sees it but she said it says no lumbar spine fracture, and the x-ray I had for thoracic spine was there is a mild superior end-plate fracture at l1, otherwise normal

coming off all hormones
I’ve bled for 73 days now since my
surgery
on 6th October. I’ve had options from my surgeon and they would effect fertility which I don’t want to do so we discussed coming off all contraception and using tranexemic acid on heavier days of my natural cycle.

Health Anxiety
I ended up having
surgery
in order to keep my daughter in longer; it worked to an extent but I ended up going into labor two months early. I have struggled with health anxiety for almost 2 years now. I’m not sure how to overcome it. I’ve tried many ways.

This year there was progression of disease in the lymph nodes around pancreas, peritoneal area and colon...Very small lesions and spread making
surgery
not an option. I'm still asymptomatic thanks to Olaparib and Avastin.
