2nd recurrence

Hi Ladies as you know I have already posted that I have started treatment for a 2nd recurrence of my Stage 2 OC. I was diagnosed in 2021 and had surgery and 6 cycles of successful Chemo.

I started to feel unwell around October time with upper right back pain. CT and MRI were clear. CA125 did start to rise slowly.

I’m December the back pain increased considerably to the point I had a few admissions to hospital for pain relief.

On the 31st I was admitted to Hospital with a large DVT(blood clot in left leg) I spent 2 weeks as an inpatient. It was at this point they decided my cancer had returned. They had seen a mass on the right side of my chest wall and it was at a point they could take some biopsies. I recommenced Chemo. Anyone else had a similar experience in their journey

Hi. I haven’t had a similar experience except for the dvt. I’m sorry you’re having a recurrence but hopefully the chemo will get rid of your pain. This disease is the gift that keeps on giving, unfortunately. Hang in there.

i’ve had four recurrence, and each one is depressing and disappointing news to digest. You’ve got to do what you’ve got to do in order to keep this dreadful disease away. Good luck.
