Confused…?
Have had two successful Trabs. and now have been advised that Cataracts are present and are beginning to cause a problem, but have been advised that cataract
surgery
may have negative effect on Trabs? Any experience of this situation out there?đź‘Ť

Waiting forever for Heart MRI
Apparently 3 month wait for an appointment before they decide if I need
surgery
. In the meantime I cannot do anything without chest pain, breathlessness and coughing. Has anyone else had to wait ages for treatment, when they have been told it is urgent?

Five weeks post Op
I am aiming to go back to work in May which will be roughly twelve weeks after
surgery
and back to some normality, I have decided to drop a day at work when I return so will only be doing four days instead of five.

BAV Valve Replacement
I'm going for checkups at the moment to determine when I will need
surgery
. My heart is slightly enlarged currently. I'm wondering whether it's better to get the
surgery
done sooner rather than later? I think the doctors are torn because I'm very active, fit, and classed as healthy.

repeat surgery?
Just wondering if anyone has had repeat
surgery
to treat their endo? I had my first one in 2021 and then started IVF so pregnancy stopped my periods and I was pain free for 9 months. Recently the pain is creeping back in and I’m not sure if another laparoscopy could be on the cards?

Multiple Cysts on the Rectovaginal Wall. Any Advice Greatly Appreciated.
The consultant I spoke to last, said that he would no longer advice or undertake
surgery
which I was hoping for to remove the cysts and I have now been referred back to my GP. The reason being is that
surgery
would come with a high risk of rectovaginal fistula.

PSA Rising
He had
surgery
in december 2022 and everything was removed including glands. Gleason 4+5. His PSA has risen från 0.1 to 0.14 in 12 months. His doctor says to do nothing until it hits 0.2. But shouldn’t he do more? Maybe he doesn’t have advanced cancer yet.

Mechanical valve
I'm hoping to have minimally invasive
surgery
but don't know if it will be possible. Apparently, they can try minimally invasive, but have a team ready to "crack" the ribs if necessary. Any experience?

Need practical advice re:RRP for 76 year-old in fair shape
We eventually chose
surgery
as he's also been in retention for many months due to a median lobe, he preferred that to doing a HoLep followed by radiation. So now I am just seeking practical tips for the post-
surgery
period.

NICE Guidelines Delay?
I need the new guidelines to fight for reinstatement of my 8 weekly injections which were stopped when I changed to a new
surgery
which insists on testing as a suitable maintenance procedure despite the flaws.

Anticoagulants
Just a quick question , I just realised my
surgery
is closed today (silly me) and I can’t pick up my latest prescription until Tuesday . I will run out of my anticoagulant Edoxaban tonight so I won’t be able to take any for the next 3 days .

Blood pressure monitor advice
To save the 8 mile (45 minute) round trip to the GP
surgery
I was wondering if it was worth me purchasing a monitor. But the choice is bewildering and prices seem to vary considerably. There seems little point if it isn't going to be accurate. (Or accurate enough.)

It’s taken me nearly twenty years to get my endo diagnosis and I’ve been waiting two years since my mri results to be seen in specialist clinic and have been told it’s another 18 months for

. Wondering how anyone has got on with this?

Suggestion
Had
surgery
and therapy. I feel awkward depending on people who want to help. This too shall pass but need to keep myself busy. I am unable to drive until my occupational therapist tells me I am safe to drive. I am taking on line class to keep my mind busy but at times I feel overwhelmed.

CLL diagnosis
Hello all, I have just been diagnosed with CLL, because of a blood test in preparation for knee replacement
surgery
! I have a no symptoms other than mild fatigue. The encologist said this disease doesn’t mean that it’s the end. Some people go for years without symptoms.

7 days post and home.
Hi the next installment, I got admitted as planned and the operation went well, the surgeon had to change from keyhole to open
surgery
as something wasn't quite right so it took a bit longer than expected about 4hrs 30.
