I.V. steroid injections? Anyone?
Hello everyone, I am in desperate need of finding a new treatment plan that may give me a chance at having decreased swelling and pain. I'm not even counting on full remission anymore, as I just don't see it happening for me because it's been 4 years that I've been so sick that I've had to give up

Hi my name is Louise and I've finally found the strength to stop lurking in the shadows and write a blog. I say strength because every time I've gone too write I would just get too emotional. I was only diagnosed in March this year and I'm still trying to get my head round this unpredictable disease

New here, just found the site this morning. For years now I have had joint pain which I put down to normal aging (62) and wear and tear then last year the inability to weight bear due to hip pain drove me to the Doctor. he diagnosed trochanteric bursitis, I had a steroid injection into my joint a week

Carcinoid worry and Rituximab failure make for painful joints and Flares.
I haven't blogged for a while but I do answer a few questions here and there and I like to read all the news. I had to blog today to get this out of my system....... I'm waiting for the results of a 24hour urine test for carcinoid tumours, this is a fairly rare form of possible cancer that is found

After 2 weeks being off Enbrel, now flaring, when I take it tomorrow, will it be like starting from the beginning again?
I suppose it's out of my system completely now. I'm just wondering should I ring nurse about a steroid injection to tide me over. Husbands going on night shift 2 nights time and I can't manage with little one. Is there any chance it would work quickly? million dollar question I suppose :) Thanks

Pain Clinic Nightmare
So. Once again my GP referred me to the pain clinic for my neck painOnce agagain, they did touch me, told me they are wanting to do trigger point injections. I argued that this is not muscle but cervical in my neck (3 car accidents /whiplash and I was diagnosed 12 years ago with spondylosis.) I haven't

Joint pain and WG
Does anyone have any tips to cope with the joint pain of WG ? The last few days have been so bad, having difficulty walking. I'm taking paracetamol. Did mention it to Dr Jayne a few weeks ago and he said if it didn't settle down to have a steroid injection as I cannot have anything else due to my kidney

2 Hospital visits last week
Hi everyone I thought I would update you on my hospital visits last week. On Wednesday I saw the orthopedic surgeon about the problem with my left knee giving way and the amount of pain I have in it. He had checked the MRI scan and said that there is a tear on the kneecap but I do not need surgery
