It is psinfull but i found it very good iv had several now
I had them in my knees and it didn't hurt at all. I think you can rest assured that you won't feel more than a little discomfort!
Best of luck, anyway

I have them every 3 months in shoulders and neck .. They basically keep me functioning ... If you get the same treatment I do its painful for about 5 seconds then sore for 24 hours then months of pain relief... Mine are late this time and I am seizing up a little more each day
Good luck

I had to have one thid morning! Found it painful and felt little sick and dizzy, am looking forward to the relief, my husband asked how long effects will last gp he said should 'cure' the calcification that showed up on xray.......
I think I must be remarkably insensitive to injections - it's only the fibro and arthritis that hurts.
Or maybe the doctors are too scared of me to risk giving me pain!

I had one in my shoulder and I was waiting for the doctor to do it when he said "all done" and I didn't even know he had done it.
I have had them in my knees, elbows and feet. The only ones that slightly hurt were the ones in my feet, the others I didn't feel a thing.

I had one in my shoulder about 15 yrs ago now, sadly for me the pain is still there but luckily hasn't got much worse. I hardly felt a thing as my OH looked on in horror as back then the needles were quite long lol I have no idea what they would be like now but my guess is much smaller, but the doctor who did it must have been good at his job if he didn't hurt me.
I have had acupuncture since then in the same shoulder and that only marginally helped, but both may possibly have helped not make the problem any worse.
I'm sure you will be fine and I do hope that t works for you.
Many on here have steroid injections, some people I know have been having them in their wrists instead if carpal tunnel surgery. So there's hope for all xx
