Steroid injection 2 weeks ago. First period in 5 years!!
Although not mentioned anywhere as a side effect I've been told that having steroid injections can affect menstrual cycles. Could they make a 53 year old who finished the menopause 5 years ago have a period, with the PMT and bloating included! Don't worry - I am having checks done but I did wonder. I

Should I have a second steroid injection?
I was diagnosed with RA 5 weeks ago rf negative but anti ccp positive at 471. I have been picked up early thanks to my knowledge as a physio and quick referral using my health insurance. My consultant is lovely but I still have so many questions. The steroid really helped my feet and hands although my

First Enbrel Blood Test Result after three injections. Sorry, a ramble.
I am, I have to say, upset :-(. I have just had a little cry although my other fingers and knee (the ones not recently injected! or not since January) told me quite obviously, there is active inflammation there at the mo. Red hot knuckles which are stiff. They are the knuckles of a flare and I saw

Can you take your methatrexate on the same day as a depomedrone injection?
I was diagnosed with RA 4 weeks ago (anti ccp 471) and given a depomedrone injection. I have just started MTX (2nd dose due tonight) and am due to see my consultant next Thursday the day I will take my 3rd dose. The steroid injection really helped but I think it is wearing off now and my consultant said

Went to see the rheumy specialist yesterday. He couldn't give me a steroid injection into my knee as it is too swollen so just had the usual one in my bum lol although he says it probably wont ease it much. Hands are swollen from using crutches and im now just trying to use one instead of two as they

Arthritis after brain injury ? All comments appreciated.
I had a subarachnoid haemorrhage in Dec. 2011 and was discharged from hospital in Feb.2012. Whilst in hospital I became increasingly aware of difficulty in walking, but was assured that this would improve with time and physio. After coming home I concentrated on getting back to normal and proving

I.V. steroid injections? Anyone?
Hello everyone, I am in desperate need of finding a new treatment plan that may give me a chance at having decreased swelling and pain. I'm not even counting on full remission anymore, as I just don't see it happening for me because it's been 4 years that I've been so sick that I've had to give up
