cushions - is it steroid injection?

When i was on the tablets(steroids) i had swelling round my neck (throat area) and it felt as if i was being strangled.There are times when i cant breath is there a connection with the injection.

I get this and a moon shaped face but the neck throat has been slightly uncomfortable. I was never sure whether to go to the gp but mine tends to go down. As the steroids go out the system. So if your is worse its good to get checked out in case it is the throid or something like that! Xx

Have you seen your GP about this? Cushings disease does have that moon face and neck thickening, though it usually doesn't affect people until they have been on steroids for a while.

thanks for answering I used to be on tablets about three yrs ago, only have steroid inhalers now on a regular bases. I have had two injections in my spine durring this time. The GP took me off the tablets because my neck was getting thicker and thicker and it was so uncomfortable. It is getting that way again.

Hi my doctor told me if you get any face swelling or breathing problems. Not to take it,it does suit you it is like anaphylactic shock. I have it with an anti biotic. Hope this helps keep well.
