Steroid Injections- time.
Just wondering for those who have successful epidural steroid injections, how long did you wait to have this procedure from the onset of pain symptoms. Because I have read on Internet that steroid injections are more successful if you have it within the first 3 months? Thanks.

Flare ups- how long do they last?
Hello! I've been on methotrexate for about two months now and I've not noticed any difference in pain levels. My hands are in constant pain with swelling pretty much every day! I keep thinking this is what's known as a flare up but it seems to be lasting a long time. Just wondered about others' experiences

Steroid injection
Hi. I had a steroid injection yesterday into muscle in arm as I'm having a flare. Blood showed inflammation going up. Today, I can't walk on my right foot at all. I'm panicking slightly. I forgot to ask how quickly these things work. Today a friend suggested I might find a wheelchair useful. I really

First appt at rhem and i was a nervous wreck...Very good consultation, interested in my first episode of knee and hand pain in 2003 when my ESR was a bit up, and low wcc and cardiolipin ab pos. Achy all over
Hi all, Just a quick question, I have RA diagnosed about 3 yes ago. I'm lucky as an early diagnosis means I have no joint damage. What I'm asking is do you get muscle pains? My consultant says RA doesn't affect your back or coccyx but I get regular aching in both. I have widespread non descript muscle

I have been told that I need a shoulder replacement, any words of wisdom will be gratefully received.
Trying to cut a long story short 2013 - sudden onset of ITP. 80 mg prednisolone initially whilst in hospital. Reducing well when January 2014 saw the onset of shoulder pain, followed shortly afterwards by GCA. After confirmation by Rheumy in March, Preds increased back up to 40. Started slow reduction

R A and steroid injections into joints?
Hello all Would those of us with RA recommend steroid injections into joints? What is the proceedure like? How long does the effect last? Would you swear by them or off them? I know, horses for courses, but your opinions and experiences would help enormously.ππππππ Also, with the anti inflammatory
