Lymphedema & Knee bursitis
I have Inflammatory arthritis, Sjogren's and OA. I have been on Methotrexate and Imraldi since 2017, before that I was on Benepali. I have had a new hip in 2017 and I also suffered with my knees which despite many steroid injections they are no longer having any effect. I saw my rheumatologist

Hip Replacement while on treatment??
My husband, who is in a Clinical Trial at MDA for Richter's, needs a hip replacement badly - such that his severe arthritis is a bigger deal to his quality of life than the Richter's. He saw an orthopedic pain management specialist last week who had nothing to offer, stating that a steroid injection

Vaginal soreness
I am experiencing very sore vagina internal and externally around my vulva. I had thrush back in July and had a few repeat courses of the anti fungal treatment and also steroid cream but have had a recent retest for thrush which was negative and don't currently have itching. To be honest I wonder if

steroids and hip replacement surgery
I’m on
steroids
for PMR and have had to go back up to 15 for a flare. I’m due to have a hip replacement hopefully in the next couple of months. My question is will it still go ahead while I’m on them.?

And the qualification is severe asthma with more than 3 exacerbations needing oral
steroids
per year. This such good news. I suspect it will only be available in tertiary clinics to begin with. But is good for lots of people who don’t have high eosinophils.

methotraxate for polymialgia
I saw a Spanish rheumatologist today and on the basis that I have been on
steroids
for four and a half years, currently at 13.5 mgs deflazacort (pred equivalent about 9 or 10 mgs), she suggested I take Methotraxate once a week 10 mgs injected, so that I can reduce the steroid dose. it seems like a big

I’m on 6 cyclogest a day, 1 progesterone shot a day, x2 Clexane injections a day and 20mg
steroids

Why did my legs hurt and why couldn't I see
I cannot speak highly enough of the eye hospital, they diagnosed and explained the problem and immediately put me on
steroids
(60mg per day). I was also fast tracked to Rheumatology at Poole Hospital and I had the appointment through within 4 days.

Stopped Methotrexate being screened for Adalimumab
So after being on Methotrexate (injections) for 2 years since diagnosis and feeling dreadful on it (swollen fingers, nausea, constant headaches, depression) I last injected on 18th December 2023. Needless to say my RA is raging in every joint now! Just had a steroid injection and being screened for

Newly diagnosed with ITP
My question is when were you started on
steroids
(count) and did it help and for how long? Are
steroids
just a temporary fix and then you have to go on long term medications? Has anyone noticed an increase in platelets, based on certain foods or vitamin supplements? Thanks so much!

I’ve had terrible itchy hives on my arms, back, chest and neck for weeks now which is just not getting any better, it started from heat rash whilst on holiday in the summer. I’ve had a small amount of relief from antihistamines (Fexofenadine 180mg) and 2 weeks of Eumovate steroid cream and I’m slathering

Leg Pain pt 3
Writing again because one of you lovely people suggested I saw my MRI results for myself. She was right, my doctor said it was wear and tear in the back. Keep taking the painkillers and walk. But I did see the results and it is Grade 1 degenerative spondylolisthesis. He did not suggest physio. But
