Tapering Regime while on Kevzara (or other biologic)
I hope it works to get me off
steroids
we shall see! I'll give it a full two months on the injections before attempting a taper. Thanks for any input! I hope this will be approved overseas soon!

Feeling dreadful but doc says results are fine!
I could be wrong but I just feel like it's my thyroid that's out as my symptoms have come on more recently in addition to the side effects from the
steroids
.

Exhausted
The pain in my back, left are and leg is constantly there even with the
steroids
. My other aches are still showing up due to the PMR. I’m still working 30 hours a week and it’s a physical job, so don’t know how long I can keep going as I’m exhausted all the time.

Asthma & heart rate
Having just had the second course of
steroids
in 2 months, it would seem that this exacerbation had also affected my heart, leading to an irregular heartbeat. I seem to recall a similar thing happening to me about 5 years ago, when I had a chest infection but it sorted itself out once I was better.

Sudden anxiety attacks and mood swing on first Prednisone taper
I’m still waiting for my rheumatology appointment, but meanwhile the GP prescribed
steroids
that are working well, where all other pain medication was not. So the joint pain is under control. We started tapering my dose to 15mg 5 days ago.

Weight loss with psoriasis
I take a variety of
steroids
very often, and unfortunately despite eating healthy, I can't reduce my body weight, my doctor tells me to just eat healthy but also not to deprive myself of nutritional value. https://www.webhosting1st.com/

COPD & thyroid problems
After having what I thought was an elongated COPD exacerbation lasting over 8 weeks which has resulted in me taking 4 lots of antibiotics and 2 lots of
steroids
, it’s now been suggested that I may have a thyroid problem.

Fast forward to recently and in an effort to reduce the number of
steroids
I’m taking, I decided to give it another go. I lasted 4 weeks but have had a similar experience, so stopped about a week ago.

urinary urgency after SBRT
His radiologist had him to take
steroids
for 5 days, but no improvement. His urologist told him to double his alfuzison. He started that a couple days ago and no improvement. His ruination is better during the day. Is this a normal side effect? Will it go away? What did you do to treat it?

I’m back😁. Used to be Dtech.
So immediate put me on oral
steroids
, which gave me relief from major pain within days and paid for ultrasound guided injection in the hip. Within a couple of days I’m now pretty pain free and walking again building up strength in the right side and practicing walking without limping!

I don’t know what to do about
steroids
. I have got down to 1/2 mg but have not reduced further since becoming ill. Should I up the dose or hope that pains will subside as I continue to recover? Also can I ask , do people find their sense of taste and smell come back in time?

upping steroids short term to boost recovery?
writing on behalf of my mum who is getting over a respiratory tract infection (or not getting over it to be precise). She has long PMR (getting on 40 yr) and is constantly trying to reduce pred. I recall reading in this forum a recommendation to temporarily increase dose when ill / having surgery etc

Realize that it can be the
steroids
, but it seems the
steroids
can damage your site as well. That’s why I am nervous.

I was weaned off the magical
steroids
after about seven months into the disease. That was in Summer 2021. My condition appears to be stable.

Enhertu side effect: pneumonitis (lung inflammation)
Unfortunately this means I have to abandon Enhertu and wait to start any new chemo until the lungs are stabilized through a course of high-dose
steroids
(60 mg Prednisone/day) that will gradually taper off over several weeks.
