So the level of

Allergies and fertility issues?
I end up needing
steroids
and antibiotics because the swelling in my throat won't go away otherwise. It only effects my breathing every time. I was chatting to someone about my fertility experience and I was told this could be related.

Double diagnosis
Then resume my metojet to see if I can settle the flare as I'm allergic to any meaningful dose of
steroids
. He has said that we may need to consider a swap in meds. I look forward to hearing what drug combo has worked for anyone else. Thanks

Pneumocystis pneumonia - PCP
I have shadowing on both lungs was on 60 percent oxygen and after a barrage of
steroids
, IVs antibiotics, nebs, I am gradually getting better. At one point they were going to admit me to ICU, but decided to take some of daily meds off and try different antibiotics. I am still on oxygen therapy.

GCA & polymyalgia rheumatica
All medical attention has been focussed on
steroids
& methotrexate etc. throughout. Now, at the age of 75 I am finding that the severe limiting effects of the polymyalgia is even more life limiting than GCA. Has anyone else found this? Is there any real help out there?

6 failed Fets, now FET#7 - Natural approach with mild Stims
I have elevated nk cells & high inflammatory markers, all taken care of with
steroids
, meds & intralipids but still zero implantation. We've 2 embryos left & my consultant wants to try a natural approach with mild stims (50mg og gonal-f) to help me ovulate sooner as my cycles are long.

steroid management in nursing home
Does anyone have any experience of managing
steroids
and adrenal insufficiency in a care home setting? I am now seen as an emotional hyochondriac even tho I have called it right each time! It’s making my life a little stressful….

Coughing again ...
Really don't want
steroids
again as they give me heartburn and an increased heart rate and am wondering if it is actually asthma or something else? Any advice gratefully received ...

Spring COVID vaccination
Can anyone advise - is it the PMR which weakens my immunity or the
steroids
I take to treat the condition? Complicated or what!! I want a spring COVID jab but don't want to pay unless I really have to.

Not Eating
My partner has been in hospital twice over the last 3 years with alcoholic hepatitis (the second time his liver was failing but the
steroids
seemed to work) and he was back to normal.

Steroid induced diabetes
I was told that it might clear out as I taper off the
steroids
. I'm now at 3mg of Prednisone and my A1C has dropped to where I'm "post diabetic". I'm keeping up the increased exercise which has become more difficult with weakness levels I'm experiencing.

I think it’s PPMS
I was discharged without
steroids
after 2 days. That was 6 weeks ago. Since then the have been recovering well but generally my left leg is the same as it was. I have also developed mild bladder issues and some mild brain fog.

Is there an alternative to
steroids
or do I have to have them ? I can’t stand sweating buckets for hours on end ! Or is it a matter of having to deal with it ?

The pain of PMR before being prescribed prednisone
That was July/August last year and was not diagnosed until September when finally given
steroids
. Looking back is a painful reminder but pleased my wife made a couple of videos pre-
steroids
of me trying to make my way down the stairs and trying to sit down.
