6 failed Fets, now FET#7 - Natural approach with mild Stims

We've had 3 rounds of IVF, 11 embryos transferred in 6 FETs that have all failed apart from 1 chemical. We've attempted fresh twice but I got mild ohss both times so they wouldnt transfer. Never any issues with my lining etc. I have elevated nk cells & high inflammatory markers, all taken care of with steroids, meds & intralipids but still zero implantation. We've 2 embryos left & my consultant wants to try a natural approach with mild stims (50mg og gonal-f) to help me ovulate sooner as my cycles are long.

Has anyone had success doing this approach. Has anyone had repeated implantation failure & it all worked out? What did you do differently. Any tips? After 6 fets ive done it all trust me but there might be something I havnt tried so all advice welcome. I just dont know why its not working, I look healthy, I eat well but my body just isnt cooperating😔

Hi Gracey. Sounds ok to me, as it can work. Wondered if your Fallopian tubes are ok and have you had a hysteroscopy to check out your womb. Just my thoughts, so apologies if all is in order. Do you need a blood thinner, and don’t forget your pineapple core. Good luck. Diane

Thanks Diane. Yes had hysteroscopy all fine apart from a small polyp which was removed. Tubes etc all fine. I take baby aispirin & clexane injections, eat loads of pineapple too, but just embryos never implant and clinics never know why, its very frustrating😢

Hi. Oh I don’t know….. if only we’d got some magic Blue Tak to keep them in place. I’m sure you’ve given them a stern talking to as well….. seriously though I truly hope next one will make you the parents you so want to be. Diane x

Hi lovely, so sorry you are going through this. Has your clinic tried PGTA testing? Most failed transfers are due to embryos not being viable. My clinic suggested this after I had recurrent implantation failure xx

Its probably the only thing we havnt done but as we only have 2 embryos left we said we'd just go ahead & transfer these 2 & if we go for another round we will def get them tested.

I’m using donor eggs, but your story sounds very similar to mine. No fertility issues just my age and singledom.

6 transfers, 8 embryos (untested), 2 fresh and 4 frozen, 5 medicated and 1 natural. 1 chemical, 5 BFN.

7th transfer, midified natural. Embryos 9&10, last 2 blasts from 2nd cycle. BFP! Now 12+4 💖

I did Bondi protocol transfers 6&7 which is clexane and prednisolone - no testing done - clinic just tried the “fix” anyway.

I’d been taking a long list of supplements and all the usual things like pineapple core for all transfers. This time I kept feet warm, drank more water, and moved more - just 10 mins a day.

I read a book called “The Secret” which is about positive thinking and the laws of attraction. Fake it till you make it mindset too when I started to really despair it was ever going to happen! 💖

Wow doodlebug congratulations thats amazing, im so delighted for you. That gives me so much hope, especially that you tried a modified natural approach. Im 37, my husband has MFI so we're using DS and embryos all seem good quality but just never take its a mystery, but your stiry gives me hope so thanks for sharing. I will def keep you updated on how it goes. Had my baseline today so starting in the next couple of days 🤞🏻
