Infections like pneumonia and sinus. Lessons learned.
I’m saddened and sorry for all those who have been suffering from pneumonia and respiratory infections. Been posted of late. As a physician who knows better, I wish I’d followed my on advice to do ALL of the following 1. Test right away for COVID 2. Get a complete viral nasal swab to be tested

Heart Medicine Increased inhaled steroid absorption.
There is a drug interaction between inhaled steroids, and diltiazem I found out. I recently developed an arrhythmia and was placed on Arnuity after stopping Breo. Breo can contribute to a A fib/ A flutter which I developed. After being on Arnuity(Steroid inhaler) and diltiazem for several weeks

prednisone and antibiotics
Has anyone had a problem with antibiotics wiping out prednisone. Was down to 2.5-lowest in 8 years. Took antibiotics (Bactrim) and all old PMR symptoms came back. Hurt all over. Read Bactrim and Cipro are quinolones and do not work well with Steroids. Neither Dr or pharmacist knew this. Not sure how

Acute steroid myopathy
Finally spoke to NHS rheumatologist today (second consultation) and been advised that I don't have PMR because of my age, normal blood work and non response to steroids. Words cannot express my frustration to be still having this same conversion nearly two years since starting symptoms, particularly

sick day rules for labyrinthitis
Hi Once again looking for a little guidance please. I’m currently on 8mg a day using DSNS method of tapering and ok so far. However 3 weeks ago I got a really bad head cold which was followed by labyrinthitis. This resulted in appalling vertigo and sickness which confined me to my pit for 3 days. GP

No Spring Covid Vaccination for AF patients
I had a Covid vaccination in January of this year and, fortunately, didn’t get any ectopics or other side-effects which I have had in the past following the vaccine. I was told to have another jab after 90 days (that is how long the vaccine is effective for, apparently), but it seems that the Spring

New here
Hi everyone. I’m new here. 32 weeks pregnant and experiencing severe urethral pain for over a month. Doctors think the baby is on the nerves supplying the urethra. Cystoscopy was clear, no uti. Has anyone ever had this experience? Constant urge to pee and lightning bolts every few minutes shooting down
