New member trying to get their head round things !
I’ve just found out I’m on the lung transplant list. Feeling a little overwhelmed by it all and would love to find out more from others in similar circumstances any coping mechanisms.

Stem Cell Transplant
I heard this can cure PV. Why the he is this not legal in the USA?! Obviously I can't fly to Panama to get this done and can't afford it. I'm sick of being fatigued!

Tocilizumab patients and the COVID Vaccine
My Rheumatologist has let me know that it is fine for me to have the COVID Vaccine and to continue having my Tocilizumab injections. I am also on 10 mgs of Prednisalone. I have Giant Cell Arteritis/Large Vessel Vasculitis.

Lung Transplant
Lung Transplant. Good Afternoon everyone. I have currently been on the lung transplant list over 2 1/2 year and I attend Wythenshawe Hospital on a regular basis for updating bloods scans and x-rays. I am constantly told to keep as fit as I can which is difficult at times as I need a double lung transplant

Would love some advice
Hi. Firstly, I just want to say how grateful I am to have found this forum. It is invaluable and has answered some of my questions before I have even asked them - ie. blurry eyes etc. I would love some advice though if you can still put up with me. My consultant reduced my 40mg dose of prednisolone

Review CT and MRI online
Hi, I'm from Ukraine, My sister's daughter is 11 months old, the infant has liver issues, her diagnose requires liver transplantation. I'm looking for all possible ways to confirm this diagnosis prior to the surgery. Could you point me to online consultation services or clinics that give such consultations

weird test results
my first test came back positive for gastric parietal cell antibodies using the Elisa test. Second test tests 5 years later for parietal cell antibody titers, comes back negative. Ok is this something that comes and goes?

Post Transplant care at Kings
Are there any liver transplant patients under the care of Kings here? We're getting concerned about the lack of contact my brother has had over the last 6 months with the consultants and blood tests being carried out. He has no appointments scheduled or blood tests booked, despite these being every 6

She is not a candidate for
Stem

due to heart function being damaged from the heart attack, they feel she would not survive the host-graft disease. She has been on Vidaza chemo injections for almost TWO years now which i can't believe.

Another unique mystery about the liver.
Every now and again I like to post some interesting facts about this most wonderous organ. Those of you who have completed the two online liver courses, "Liver Disease: Looking after Your Liver" and "Liver Transplant: the Ins and Outs" will know of Dr Patricia Laylor. Back in 2017 Dr Laylor and I

I am Chris, 67 year old male, from the uk and I was diagnosed with Myelofibrosis in 2010 for which I had a

Hi all. I had a bone marrow transplant 2 years ago. It put stress on my heart. Last week i had a echocardiogram which has come back good!!! Though my bnp level is 600... i am 38. So too high. My consultant is not worried though. Does this sound right?? Does a high bnp always mean heart failure? Back

Monoclonal antibodies from Cuba and India.
ITOLIZUMAB a monoclonal antibody developed by CIM in Cuba and BIOCOM in India is for support of geriatric patients and has now been authorized for clinical trials in the U.S. and some other nations. We can never know where new solutions are developed. The development of the A1c test for blood glucose
